I see this tossed around fairly often but is it true? I remember there were negotiations between them that fell through but is there evidence Wlad really wanted nothing to do with him? :think

Yes, and it actually now counts as a factual loss on Waldo's appalling resume.

Prime Chisora was schooled by Vitali... Wlad just went for better money and picked Haye. I don't blame him.

He was supposed to fight Dereck late in 2010, after another win against Peter.

Yea, because Helenius really has all of the athletic and technical attributes that make Wlad who he is today.

lol If Wlad fought Chisora the way he did Brewster the first time, he would have knocked him out before he even started to breathe heavy. Chisora is not that good.

Yep this. If he didn't want to fight Chisora he would have never agreed to fight him in the first place and wasted several months doing nothing.

Wlad had already postponed the fight once and after the 2nd injury he just decided to go for Haye. After the first injury Steward said he would have preferred if they had just come to terms and fought Haye. After the 2nd injury they just decided to stop wasting anymore time and go straight for Haye.

Kinda seems like it, but he did sign the Haye fight really quickly after the second postponement, so it was probably due to the big money fight with Haye happening.

    Doesn't matter.

Chisora had the opportunity to beat Fury, but lost.

That's Chisora's fault if he can't secure a mandatory challenge.

118-110, 118-110, 119-111 does sound quite one sided. Just because he made Vitali work for it doesn't mean it was close.

Yeah, clearly one of the toughest fights  Chisora won... one round? Two rounds max? Against injured and aging Vitali.

Chisora might have stood a chance against Wlad in early 00s, not in 2010. And picking Haye over him makes perfect sense in every category.

Yes. One day before the fight on less.

You don't withdraw a day before the fight unless you have cold feet.

chisora is a good jouneyman fighter, never going to be a threat to wlad and the bookies would have shown it with there odds.
