    :deal

people tend to hate him, but imo he is the most dominant champion of all time. if you watch his fights from the last couple of years, it never looks like there is anyone who can even give him a fight. and all the guys who hate on the opposition! wlad fought very good contenders, who would be in the top ten of every era.

    Sultan ibragimov is criminally underrated.
    same goes for chagaev.
they were unbeaten champs with a great amateur carrer and difficult styles to fight.
chris byrd is imo a great fighter and a difficult fight for every champ in every era.
haye is an A+ talent who would be a dangerous opponent for every one with his speed, reflexes and power.

so wlad is imo a clear top 10 heavy of all time who would **** up everyone h2h besides lennox and tyson

Wlad's losses taught him to fight more defensively and not to go in their and rush it. Basically, Wlad learned that a fight is 12 rounds instead of 1.

With Purity and Brewster he just gassed

I will love to give all the credit to Wladimir or believe that he could have done this with another trainer.
But it is my honest opinion Emmanuel Steward saved his career. Some people say 'oh well Wlad would have adjusted anyways' and 'oh he could do well with someone else at the time'
No, I think if no Emannuel, his career was over.

This is a quote from Sports Illustrated, after Wladimir's defeat to Brewster and he was in the hospital. Often times, the ONLY guy there was Emmanuel.

Steward could have walked away then, but he didn't, he spent the night with Klitschko at the hospital and roamed the streets of Las Vegas with him for two days afterward.

    Here is Wladimir on Emmanuel
Klitschko said. "I was a broken man. When you start to work with your coach and you end up on the floor, you have questions. But all respect to Emanuel, he stuck to me. He believed in me. He saw something in me. I believe any other coach would have dumped me. But Emanuel, he has this wisdom in him. He sees those things in me that he saw in Lennox."

Wladimir watched Lennox Lewis's entire career, in many ways Lewis was the idol that Wladimir wanted. Vitali was the big brother, so it's obvious Wladimir will say Vitali is his idol, but on the scene before Haye fight
Wladimir admits 'Lennox Lewis is the idol I watch and I will use his tactics, Emmanuel is best teacher for these tactics"

Wladimir and Emannuel are a great team and there is no way Wlad would be who he is today without Emannuel.

I think out of all the champions Manny Steward saved, Wladimir is the one that most needed him.

I love it how so many Klittards

talk about 'Wlad this or Wlad that' wake up. It is Emmanuel and Wlad. Steward deserves at least 50% of the credit.

No. you are a butt hurt ****ing moron who likes to think that Wladimir could do all this without Emannuel Steward.

Wladimir thinks different. Should I listen to his opinions or yours?

"Lennox and Wlad are so similar," Steward said. "I still call Wlad 'Lennox' sometimes. I teach them the same stuff. If an opponent gets inside, shut it down by clinching. Control the guy. Stay tall. Never go to the ropes. You never saw Lennox's back on the ropes. You won't see Wlad, either. Wlad has best footwork and balance of any fighter I ever worked with.

Vitali apparantly wanted STEWARD to throw in the towel in the Peters fight as well not just before it BUT DURING IT.

    :lol::lol::patsch

"Everyone in that camp was paranoid and didn't have much faith," Steward said. "Vitali told him he should quit. But we needed to take the risk. Never once did we panic. He showed a lot in that fight.

before the start of the 12th round, Vitali questioned Steward's decisions and wondered if his brother could finish the fight. Instead, Klitschko landed his best punch of the night that round, a perfectly placed left hook -- a punch Steward had been working on with him -- that sealed an improbable unanimous decision win.
