The same people that are dissing him right now for not taking action would have been the same people that would have CRUCIFIED him for actually taking action.

If Wlad would've punched Chisora on the chin with a proper right hand, Chisora would've been dropped dead to the floor. Wlad had no gloves on...do you know what happens if someone with Wlad's punching power hits you on the chin?

What I wrote in the other thread..

Vitali has the excuse (for the slap) that he wanted the fight to go on, same with Wlad (with the spitting) before the fight started....but AFTER??

Vitali couldn't knock him out but at least he beat him convincingly and was old/injured. Wlad got spit on and did nothing, at least show that you have some self respect and raise a ruckus after the fight. So what if he gets a fine or even a suspension (in Germany...yeah right)? Vitali was not prime that night but what was Wlad's excuse for fighting super cautiously vs Haye who had insulted him and his family for two years? No killer instinct.

Come to think of it, Wlad didn't even challenge Chisora for a match? Or if he did, he sure wasn't very assertive.

Neither of the K bros react instinctively. They are a cold pair. That being said Wlad shoving Derek across the ring wouldnt have hurt the fight, would it? It would have been a fair reaction

Wlad clocking chisora on the chin this incident would ve hurt his acceptance in germany and thus his future as a businessmann and boxer. He s portrayed as the fine, educated sportsman who has control over emotions, educated manners and who can express himself well etc and not as a street fighter type of man. People in germany do not look down on Wlad for not hitting chisora, on the contrary, they approve of the way he controlled himself, they have very little respect for Chisora on the other hand. With hindsight Chisora s "legacy " as a boxer will be that he spat and slapped instead of winning the most significant fights of his career.

The whole added power of punching bare fist compared to gloves idea is way overblown.

How do you know what I would say? I can honestly say I would give the same view of Haye, anyone, whether in a boxing ring or walking down the street who is spat at and does not react gains my respect as a person. It takes a bigger man to stand there/or walk away than one who hits out. Boxing is about discipline and self control and he showed lots of it. For the record I am massive Haye fan and travel all over to watch him.

100% true, people who lost respect now are those who never had much respect for him anyway. Wlad will take revenge in the ring one day.
People act as if Haye did something spectacular and showed balls, but people seem to forget that he had nothing to lose, not even a boxing license, any drunk guy could have done the same to Chisora.
Wlad on the other hand has a license, dignity, titles and therefore a good reputation, not to mention that Vitali could have lost a title fight, and his reputation as politician.

Isnt Vitali same guy who fought against other politicians in a parlament. I dont think his reputation as politician, would suffer more from boxing press conference brawls

I wondered if he would lose his cool, like Chisora tried making him do.

    Very impressive that he didn't.

Now he can continue making millions and millions of dollars uninterrupted, while Chisora really only has one possible big fight (with Haye).

Chisora would have been out cold and the fight would have been off. Wlad would probably have been interaogated by police.

He did the hard but clever thing.
