Did Wlad take years off AJ or was he always at this level?

Wlad was boring as **** in his second half of his career, but at least he shut guys out. AJ couldn't even shut that bum Parker out.

A little past prime , but not shot. There's a difference. If he was shot he would have lost to a Jennings or a Pianeta just like Mike Tyson was losing to those types of guys when he was shot at 35 years old.
Wlad was well preserved and lived the life of an elite professional all year round.

Look at it like this , FMJ was past prime when he was pushing 39 against Berto , but because Berto is low level , Floyd beat him every round.
Wlad from the Fury fight would easily have beaten the Pulevs and Chambers of the world , but lost because he was facing a guy way better than a guy like Berto.
Likewise Vitali was able to get past Chisora and Charr over the age of 40 because they were nowhere near as good as Fury and Joshua. Its also about opposition and levels Gilbert , i thought you knew that already :frown:

Bigger possibility is that Joshua stops him inside 6 rounds. He would be a sitting duck. I actually agree with that... Although you've always shown venom towards Parker(for no damn reason) and are writing that out of spite - Parker even though a class act seems to fight to his opponents level past his a certain class. This has become apparent with Takam, Ruiz and now Joshua.

Remember that AJ fought Tatum on a weeks notice and weighed in at the heaviest of his career due to being matched against the non moving Pulev.
I thought he looked good against Parker.

What did you score it dino? I thought he won 8 rounds. I don't rate Parker, so to me that's a bad performance.

To the unsophisticated eye, yours for example, it might look that way. However, to the boxing connoisseur AJ performance against Parker was one of controlled excellence completely disarming his opponents offensive capabilites.

There's definitely an argument. Especially for Fury. Unless you give fighters rounds for ineffective aggression. I'd have to rewatch Ruiz/Parker but I had Ruiz winning.

Do you score rounds for ineffective negativity? Fury spoiled and lost clearly. Ruiz has a case for winning 115-113 or drawing but not anything beyond that... The scores for that fight were more than fair considering it was in Parkers backyard.

I score fights based off who scored the most effective punches. Fury scored more effective punches, Parker probably landed more but they weren't clean. What did you score it?

No way was Wladimir Klitschko "shot" against AJ. Past his prime, yes, Shot? Absolutely no. Shot fighters do not get up and nearly knock the other guy out. And anyone could see that Wlad stepped off the gas a little, when AJ was hurt. Had he been the fighter who threw caution to the win, he would have won.

Wladimir retired for a simple reason. He was 41 years old, 65 million in the bank, 25 title win career. And has absolutely nothing else to prove. He also went out with amazing support from British fans. Like he said himself, even though he lost the fight, he thought of it as a win. And as Anthony Joshua rises in boxing, so would his name.

Maybe you think Jennings is Ike Ibeabuchi but reality is he's a fringe man just like Brock was. Step away from the glue, fool.
