Did Wladimir buy the unification of the titles for 15 million?

    It sure seems like it to me. It would not be the first time a title/belt was bought and sold. The fight seem contrived and calculated to me. A 50/50 split is almost unheard of.

    Did you forget Wlad got just as much money? Should he have taken a 100% split for himself and not "bought" it, Haye fighting for nothing?

    Wlad made concessions (the 50/50 split itself) BECAUSE it was for a title. He did not buy it.

    No I did not miss that Wladimir also got 50% but most title fights are either 70/30 or 60/40. Did the extra 10% buy the title?

    Haye demanded 50/50 and after more than two years, Wlad was finally able to get him in the ring with it. Haye wouldn't take 55/45. What's your point? Wlad, caring about his legacy and wanting to unify, sacrificed some of his deserved purse to get Haye in the ring.
