Did Yoka just had a bad day or is he not that good after all?

He looked kind of weak against Bakole, it's a shame that the fight with Hrgovic didn't happen, maybe he would have suffered the same against Hrgovic...

The French aren't exactly known for their fighting ability.

His chin is what the French call le verre.

He got rocked to his boots early in round 1 then again two more times shortly after with the same shot before he even got put down.

He got stunned into submission, the fight got beat out of him from the first bell, survival mode.

Their gameplan will have been to box around Bakole and take it the distance but he got the fear of god put into him straight away

Have to appreciate the boxing that this 275 pound man was executing. He looks ponderous but he's really not, just like Joyce.

This is what happens when you're a protected amatuer.

Bakole has been sparring the best heavys in the world for the last few years unlike Yoka. Joyce, Fury, AJ, Usyk you name it. Just came out of camp with Fury as the main sparring partner. Fury will have asked him to go after the body and you saw that last night. The only take away was he was falling short with his jab more often than he needed to but Yoka was intent on keeping his distance. Should have found a way to finish him also.

He looked feather fisted last night, no sting to his punches whatsoever

He was never that good. He's athletic but he has some glaring flaws.

    Lack of durability.

No head movement so relies on a basic high guard.

No counter punching so when he is boxing off the back foot his opponents having nothing to fear coming back so they can walk him down.

No inside game and no clinching to smother an opponent that does get inside.

Lack of ring IQ. He's not progressed as a pro at all from what I can see. He's the exact same fighter as the one that first turned pro with all the same flaws. That shows an inability to learn.

Bakole with a couple more bouts under his belts, a little more to his gas tank and he will happily mix it with the big boys

All of whom will have to box around him. He is no joke.

Stick a pair of punchers glove on him and he'd punch holes in people.

Weak chin and lack of punching power. But he showed pride and heart, didn't give up easily

I do not believe Bakole is 28 but if he is he could have a big future ahead of him.

If Bakole embraces his George Foreman like qualities he’d be a force. My main issue with him is he doesn’t just walk guys straight down but hangs around outside jabbing and boxing. Although he probably needs to get in better shape for that, it would be cool if he did. A tiny bit more pressure and they would’ve pulled Yoka out. Guy had no business going the distance.

Not really surprised. Hammer was giving him the business too but the ref wouldn’t let him work inside. Yoka is like a HW Amir Khan. Very athletic with quick hands but very 1 dimensional, lacks ring IQ, poor footwork, bad defence.

I've always called him the HW version of Amir Khan. Great speed and athletic ability, but he's just fast for the sake of being fast.
His defence sucks, bad footwork and lack of headmovement and then he gets caught with his chin up in the air looking like a deer in headlights. Add the fact that his chin isn't great and you get the picture.

In his 2nd pro fight Jonathan Rice gave him all he could handle, he got hurt and was moving and holding on for dear life during the 2nd half of the fight and got a gift on the cards (that was actually a really close fight). There is a reason they have kept him away from big punchers until his last fight.
