Well with the ten world champs on it, I'd say it's none too shabby. Care to tell me who Israel Vazquez (for example) has beaten that makes his any better? Or JMM?
I'm hungover and have a headache and am getting annoyed that I have to remind you that alot of P4P is subjective and based on personal opinion and analysis. Watch the damn guy fight, then go watch Calzaghe fight. then come back and tell me that Calzaghe is better. :good

I've watched him fight plenty of times but that wasn't the point I was initially responding to which was over Calzaghe's resume. Vazquez doesn't have the overall skillset or adaptability of JC, though he is a tough, relentless mofo who never stops coming and has fists of stone. Agree re: the subjectivity anyway. Oh and loads of water together with a couple of paracetamol usually helps :good

    7. Larios
    8. Sasakul
    9. Solis
    10. everyone else.

you can argue that Pac and JC's records are as good as each other, then again you can pick holes in both. the records are similar accept Pac has fought the best fighters more than once, then again Jc is undefeated.
#1 that Old Hopkins is p4p #4 according to ring and had panned Tarver, Wright and Pavlik in the surrounding fights. Secondly, if Larios who is nowhere close to Calzaghe's level can do it to Vazquez and Genaro Garcia ca do it to Marquez (let's not even mention Norwood) then yeah I think he might. Thirdly, I don't think you can honestly try and judge who would win a fight between two guys at completely opposite ends of the weight range in a style-dependant sport such as boxing. I prefer to judge on overall skill set, but mostly on resume and accomplishments plus the quality and range of opponents seen off. Only one man on that list has seen them all of.
I posted my list, if you don't like that I don't have Calzaghe in the top 5 then cry about it. We still haven't seen your list....at least I posted one you ****ing clown

    Dude, that's sensible talk.
It has no place here on ESB.

but cotto lost to margo, the mosely decision could have gone either way and i think mosely beats him in a rematch and i would think williams would beat cotto as well. how can a fighter who's potentially the 4th best fighter in a division be top 10, and certainly not above hatton.

I didn't say I don't like it you dumbass mother ****er, simply stated that the fact you don't like a fighter is no reason to place them outside your top five. I'm not massively fond of Mayweather (don't dislike him as much as I used to) but to deny him his rightful place on the p4p list for that reason is stupid! If you genuinely consider that he is not a top five fighter on boxing reasons alone then fine.

As for my list, you haven't looked very far then, go to page 2 of this thread then tell me who's the clown!

Agreed. I stated that I don't like him to alarm people that there may be some bias in my list. Why else would I write that? I don't even feel like acknowledging him at all after that Jones fight. :deal

I think he's a better fighter then Margo. And Williams is on my list, as is Mosley. How can a fighter prove to be at least on the level of if not better then mosley, but not make the list when Mosley is the bigger guy?

    Their reasoning:

“Mosley’s stunning upset of the heavily favored Margarito necessitated a major shakeup in The Ring’s pound-for-pound ratings,” said Nigel Collins, editor of THE RING. “Margarito and Cotto, both of whom were stopped in their most recent fights, exit, at least for the time being. Mosley takes one of the vacant slots, while 122-pounder Celestino Caballero makes his debut.

“Some may be surprised by Caballero’s inclusion, but a quick check of the records of other fighters under consideration – Paul Williams, Arthur Abraham, Chris John, Vic Darchinyan, Chad Dawson, Edwin Valero, and Roman Gonzalez – reveals that Celestino has more wins over top-notch opposition than any of the others on the short list.”

he might be a better fighter than margo, but he lost to him, and when they're the same weight you've got to go by h2h.
