even though haye lost i thought it was a decent fight, i was on the edge of my seat most of the fight.
Yea was on edge of seat because I knew one punch can send either man down. After the 7th I thought Wlad had this in the bag because Haye slowed down a lot and started running out of gas.
I was on my feet the whole fight but I usually am tbh. People with a decent knowledge of the sport knew this was gonna be no war. I enjoyed the event more than anything
I was in a crowded bar and i was entertained, just watched it again at home and i was still entertained. Rounds 7,8,9,10 and 11 were a bit off but I enjoyed it on the whole.
Not really. A smaller guy could conceivably have had better footwork and try to break up his opponent's rhythm an then time him with punches from outside ala Michael Spinks.Maybe Wlad is that good,in that he would never have given Haye the opportunity. But I'm not sure that is the case altogether the case.Haye was leaping in with punches and passive for a lot of the time against Audley and Valuev as well.
Absolutely not. That was one of the worst fights I've seen recently. The fight wasn't close, and there was little action. I didn't mind the tactics of both fighters in the beginning of the fight. However, towards like the 7th or 8th round, Haye should've known that he was hopelessly behind and should've taken more chances. Wlad was way ahead and still fought cautiously as well. I can't stand these blowout fights where neither guy seems willing to engage.
