his head movement was damn impressive, just couldn't counter fast enough Haye needs to stop bitching about retirement and go after other top-10 fighters, IMO he can beat any of them, set himself as a mandatory challenger and have another shot at Wlad or fight Vitali, who is getting old. I can only see Chambers giving Haye lots of trouble, but it would be fun to watch.
i've been saying for a long time he needs a coach to sharpen up his technique, adam booth is a great tactical coach but not the greatest at teaching fundementals. roach would be great!
Not great but I was on edge due to the sheer volume created prior to the event. I enjoyed the pre-fight trash talk and the actual fight. Haye was beaten decisively though. I don't think Haye is the bad guy he portrayed himself as, he was doing his job at the end of the day.
I enjoyed it.. Not much drama.. But good technical fighting (despite hayes slipping) Both came in with a plan, it just came down to who could execute better.. Wlad have more experience, is more disciplined and has a size advantage. that was the key factors in the fight IMO
Glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed it. Both fighters with their lead hands down, both having one punch KO power, both supposedly bad chins. My heart was in my mouth.
Who said I was expecting an epic slugfest? I'm simply stating that with all the pre-fight buildup, the actual fight was lame. Having seen how Haye fought Valuev, I wasn't convinced he'd have much more to offer. However, I was hoping he'd have the pride, and courage to back up his talk. Same goes for Wlad. I wanted to see him back up his vow to punish Haye and fight more like he did in his earlier years. It's a boring fight when the most attention grabbing action was Haye doing a Locche impersonation for a few seconds during one of the middle rounds.
