Just wondering, I don't think that I can find HONESTLY a person that expected to see Hopkins in the canvas more than once, so my thoughts after each KD were: 1st KD: "Pascal has just won the fight". 2nd KD: "Father time has really caught B-HOP, Pascal may get a late stoppage".
i didnt expect it bit he wasnt even a tiny bit hurt on both knockdowns, ive only seen the fight once and was drunk so i cant recall if the frist one was a shot to the back of the head like hopkins was saying or if it was a true knockdown
The man is 45 years old, it was going to happen EVENTUALLY should he keep fighting top shelf opponents. Those were the epitome of flash knockdowns however, and that first one was a legit behind the head punch. So no, given the circumstances, I am not completely shocked that it happened. I wouldnt say I expected it to happen, but they arent shocking given their nature (flash knockdowns). Now, if Hopkins had actually been HURT, on wobbly legs and such, then ya I would say I would have been a bit shocked with Hopkins defence and chin.
No I didn't expect B-Hop to taste the canvas and I didn't think Pascal would stop Hopkins because Hopkins wasn't hurt, and Pascal has bad stamina anyway. I did think after the 2nd KD that Pascal was going to win though because it was up there in Canada and figured Pascal would win via hometown cooking.
I didn't expected it but did you saw how the punch landed for the first knock down? I didn't thought it was a punch in the back of BHop's head.
No, I was pretty stunned, especially with the legitimate left hook for the second KD. I did, however, predict a Pascal SD in a fight Hopkins deserved to win. The thing was that Hopkins so overwhelmingly deserved to win that all they could do away with was the draw so Pascal can keep his belts.
No I didn't expect it but that double left hook was pretty sweet that put Hopkins down. The 1st KD was bogus.
No -- and it bugs the hell out of me that Hopkins got caught off balance by a punch he did not see coming. That is not a very BHop-like thing to let happen.
