Did you feel sorry for Price, Pulev and Ustinov when Fury ducked them?

So someone is ill and has been for a while you wont pull out of the fight, but when there is a clear decline and you don't know how long you have left with that person then you are going to want to spend as much time with them as possible. Put yourself in his shoes, I certainly would do the exact same thing and im sure the vast majority of people would too.

Do you think Tyson would have pulled out had Ustinov came in looking like s*it?

Professional fighters shouldn't pull out at the last moment because "an uncle is very ill". Especially if he often boasts about being from a proud fighting clan. A fight is a fight. A professional is a professional.
No disrespect, but it was clearly used as an excuse.

Fury himself said "I'm being stitched up, he's had a good camp."
That's what he said when he saw Ustinov at the weigh in.
He let his true thoughts slip. He wasn't used to fighting men as big as himself who had time to train. That just wasn't fair. :|

Yes I believe so, I'm not a Fury fan but if I was in his shoes and my Uncle was dying then I would pull out of whatever it is I am doing.

Also Ustinov wasn't it a long training camp to fight Tyson he only call a day or two before that. Not only was there the issue with his uncle Hughie but because of that his uncle Peter very understandable never wanted to go to work. So he wouldn't have had his coach either, Eddie Chambers pulled out of bill for that reason alone.

He's agreed to those fights as they are cash-out paydays for him. He wasn't willing to work his way up the ladder earlier in his career, instead he let his mouth do the talking whilst avoiding any live challenge.

His best win is Chisora ffs.

What does that have to do with the fact he ducked them?

He threw his belt away rather than fight Price and absolutely **** himself when he saw Ustinov come to the scales in shape.

    It's a fact you can't deny. :good

Listen mate I'm not in any way taking away from the fact that his uncle was ill and my brother has been in this position (maybe not that level) when he was training for a fight when our late mum was diagnosed with the cancer that went on to take her life. My brother had a fight lined up and although he didn't feel 100% he made sure he got through it before making decisions on whether he could continue with that burden hanging over him.

The biggest point is that he has came out in the past and took the p iss out of other fighters for pulling out and claiming that he would never do the same. I respect his decision and if it was that his uncle's health declined drastically and was in danger of passing then it is totally called for but once he put it out there that he would never pull out of a fight he has given people the ammunition to throw back at him when he does. Rightly or wrongly.

Get your point but I don't think what he has said matters as with Tyson I feel he says a lot that he doesn't necessarily mean in order to get a reaction. All I am saying is the fact that he pulled out of that fight should not be commented on because there were difficult circumstances.

I got the feeling that Ustinov was up for it and Fury looked distracted.

    No ducking what so ever.

Vs Price , it would have been fun while it lasted.

Haye simply isn't a fighter anymore.
