... story on the other websight? Kostya Tzu worked as his chief trainer for a single day. He is sparring with Jameel Mcline, Larry Donald, and Kevin Johnson. Kevin Johnson has a lot of compliments and said that his work rate is special. When asked who would win in a real fight, Johnson good naturedly said that Povetikin wouldn't stand a chance. I really have hopes for Sacha. He seems to want to fight the best in teh rind and in sparring. Hope he has a good series of matches against Klit.
He gets hit too much. And, considering how busted-up he looked after the Chambers fight, I can't even begin to imagine what Klitschko will do to him.
It's also possible that Povetkin determined he could take Chambers' punches, knew Chambers was faster, and decided to take a few to get in and land his harder shots. Very possible he would fight a different kind of fight against Wladimir.
Series? After the first beating Povetkin takes at the hands of Wladimir, that'll be it. Just one, one sided beating will be quite enough.
Or peter, Povektin will get KO by Wlad Or By Peter,,,, I even would go so far as to pick the nipple man arrello over this overhyped soft fisted guy
Good point, kolya! Besides Povetkin has a proven track record at the amateurs. He fought the who is who then dominating his weight division as almost no other fighter before. Klitschko will have to keep his nose to the grindstone or he will be in for a very nasty surprise IMO.
I love all this feather fisted talk, he has a 74% KO ratio, and his opposition has been better than virtually anyone at heavy not named Klitschko, Valuev, Chagaev or Ruiz. So he isn't the tremendous one punch fighter that Wladimir is, that doesn't mean he cannot crack, and I'd argue he hits every bit as hard as Peter (he would have done what Peter did to Oleg just quicker and probably more emphatically). He fought a defensive, skilled, and fast fighter in Chambers, who has better power than given credit for, had never lost, nor has he ever been down. He took a few shots, good shots mind you, but the swelling was not as bad as the bruising, and he still won the fight decisively. The only other quality foe he didn't stop was Donald, who has been stopped only once by the 6'8", 250lb Vitali Klitschko.
Oh and Arreola was getting countered by the slow and lethargic Witherspoon, he was able to bloody him up a little bit while lacking the speed, power, size, and arsenal of Povetkin.
There's no way the skill-less wonder Peter beats Povetkin. I'm pretty sure Povetkin has dealt with people like Peter when he was a novice amateur.
Seriously, tell me where Peter has shown this insane punching power when he's NOT rabbit punching his opponent? Jeremy ****in' Williams?
Don't be. Povetkin has more to go on then just clubbing people into oblivion with wild ass shots. He's stopped enough good fighters, but he is a guy who will wear you down and break you down over the course of a fight. I'm impressed by your avatar though. Who is that?
With one of those knockdowns being a rabbit punch, and the second being something resembling a judo toss? Oh, that's the same way he mauled Taurus Sykes, too. What'd you know, we have a trend.
