Peter's power is definitely overrated. Who the hell has he ever knocked out, except the glass jawed Russian?

To be considered a great heavyweight puncher you need some KO's that give the theory some credence

Povetkin definitely ain't a puncher, its mere accumulative power. He's still more likely to knock out a decent fighter, as he actually has skills and speed, which give him a chance of landing regularly.

Peter destroyed williams with one brutal one punch KO. You do not get a KO win like that if you do not have true power. Before Peter Ko oleg people said when he ko's a top 5 let me know,,, he does and he still is blamed for fighting a glass jaw bum:patsch But nobody else could do it in about 3 or years,, not rachman either. Povektin gets his ass handed to him by Peter should they every fight. Povektin likes to fight on the inside throwing a ton of punches leaving his self wide open to be countered. Peter is a very good counter puncher. Peter countered Toney alot in their two fights. IF PETER CAN COUNTERPUNCH TONEY HE CERTAINLY WILL CATCH POVEKTIN WITH EASE

Povetkin has better defense, speed & workrate than Peter. Sam has power and big fight experience over Povetkin. Alex would tire Peter out with the pace he sets.

Peters defense is too leaky and his chin looks like was ruined by Wlad. Toney could only fight in short spurts because he was fat and out of shape and when he actually fought Peter he tagged him. Povetkins workrate would be too much and his chin would bail him out if he was tagged.

Peter walked thru Oleg's best punches... McCline fight Peter fought with a ruptured eardrum a injury that affects balance immensly.

Peter's stamina is not a issue. He fought 24 rounds with Tony and won both. The second fight he was crisp as hell in the 12th even doing the ali shuffle. He fought back to win from the 4th round on against McCline. Povektin will not have the huge workrate because he would not make it 12 rounds with Peter. I doubt that povektin would be so willing to go toe to toe with peter like he has in the past with light hitting byrd and chambers. Povektins defense is not better than Peters either. He gets tagged by almost everypunch thrown his way. Watch the Peter/Oleg fight... Peter ducked a ton of shots or slipped a ton of shots. Look at the HBO punch stats. even the mccline fight after he regained his composure after the 4th. Peter controlled the action

Toney's workrate was so poor in those fights that Peter could rest when he was tired. I would say that Povetkin hits at least as hard as McCline who dropped Peter 3 times, so a Povetkin stoppage is certainly more than possible.

The Ali shuffle made me laugh my ass off. It looked like a drunk Rhino that just got shot by a tranquilizer gun trying to stay on his feet.

Dude, you make it sound like Peter's sharp and all. He's not. He arguably lost to Toney the first time, got stunned by him at points when Toney actually let his hands go, and had his ass boxed off by Wladimir. Tell me, what will Peter do on the inside besides hold and maul? All the dude does is throw long, looping punches that tend to catch people on the side or back of the head. Of course you get leverage in those, and they're harder-they're also not legal and someone like Povetkin can move away from those before countering.

Wow, better spin than my washing machine. Yeah, nobody KO'd him in 3 years, about 2 of which he didn't even fight, congratu-****ing-lations :-(

Mask has been starched plenty of times, enough to suggest that if you KO him it doesn't immediately mark you out as this huge puncher. Who cares about ****in Williams for christ sake.

Again, when he KO's somebody decent let me know. If he KO'd a Ibragimov/Chagaev/Valuev/Povetkin even Ruiz get back to me.

All I'm seeing right now, is all the decent fighters he faced took him the distance. Doesn't suggest he's a huge puncher. And if he's as skilled as you claim, along with that devastating power, he should have done no?
