Did you know that Mike Tyson actually knocked out Lennox Lewis cold when they sparred in the 1980s?

His head movement, ability to cut off the ring, hitting from angles, punch variety, ability to finish and body punching, he was just a better trained fighter under Rooney.

You stated this happened for a fact, now you're saying it's a rumor, and are even expressing doubt their is any validity to it.... Are you OK?

That reminds me I knocked out Lennox Lewis three times in one day back in 1996 trying to teach him how to slip a jab.
It was June 15, 1996 to be exact, about a month after the Mercer fight.
I would probably have knocked him out more times that day but England were playing Scotland in the Euro '96 Football Tournament and I wouldn't have missed that for the world.
Paul Gascoigne's goal was the highlight of that day and I'd completely forgotten about what I'd done to that glass chinned lummox Lewis.

That never happened. Can you imagine Mike keeping quiet about it?? He'd have hollered from the rooftops lol

I pasted that comment from quora because I happen to believe it, Tyson was far better than Lewis in his prime.

Tyson wouldn`t have cared less in his prime about KOing some unknown olympian at which point do you think Mike would have gone on about it? It wouldn`t have been a big deal when they sparred, neither guy was famous back then, Lewis would have been just another boxer sparring with Mike, maybe he forgot.

So you reckon he wouldn’t have mentioned it happening in the lead up to their actual fight?

You don’t think his management or flunkies wouldn’t have mentioned this little tidbit to add to the media hype train surrounding their fight?

I think it wasn’t mentioned because it never happened and it was an internet story invented by a grieving Tyson nut hugger to mitigate the total destruction of Tyson by Lewis when they actually fought for real.
