Did you know that the longest reign of any world champion,at any weight,was that of joe louis.The old brown bomber held the world heavyweight title for 13 years and 97 days,from 22nd june 1937,until 27th september 1950.
I think Ali is the best heavyweight ever, I recently decided to make a thread discrediting joe louis' as the best boxer at heavy ever. During my researching I found out that I was wrong and that he had a excellent claim to be the worlds best heavy. I still think ali faced better opposition and was a better fighter. But I respect louis and his reign, very impressive and difficult to overlook or for any boxer to surpass.
