Did YOU notice any irregularities with the wrapping of Pac's hand?

Simple question. A certain poster has stated that before his fight with Antonio Margarito, Manny Pacquiao's hands were wrapped in an improper fashion. This was apparently similar to the way Felix Trinidad's hands were improperly wrapped before his fight with Bernard Hopkins - Layers of tape and gauze applied on top of each other. This could supposedly be seen during the Rigondeaux - Cordoba fight on the undercard of Pac - Margo. According to this poster, the hand wraps are what caused the large swelling on Margo's face.

So I ask you, ESB, did you notice anything irregular regarding the wrapping of Pacquiao's hands? Anything out of place? Something wrong with the application of tape and gauze? If so, then let it known here, I want to know how many people actually think there was an irregularity. If you have the fight recorded, don't be afraid to watch it again, in order to see the wrapping of Manny's hands.

If you didn't see the fight, do you think Pac would sink so low as to do something like this? What would be his motive?

For the record, I think this whole idea is total bull****, but I would just like to know the good people of ESB's views :good

Apparently Garcia questioned the wraps, but no further action was taken.

Didn't Nazim say that what Tito did was legal in most states, New York simply not being one of them?

I don't know what the hooplah was about or what the issue was. I did catch Roberto Garcia telling the commision that he wasn't asking for the whole wraps to be cut and rewraped. He just wanted the top layers tape removed and retaped.

Has Garcia released any post fight statements about this?

Pacquiao hit Margarito with 411 power punches. He could've had his hands wrapped in goose down and gelatin and it wouldn't have made a difference.

Something along those lines. It's a mystery to me whether it's allowed in Texas. Although Manny's hands weren't rewrapped, so they can't have been to improper. Definetely not irregualr enough to damage an opponent

Not sure mate, although if there was any real problem with the final wraps that Garcia or Margo's team had, i'm sure it would be big news by now.

i heard from a news report before the fight that pac already wrapped his left hand in the presence of the boxing commission but garcia wasn't there yet. so, he had to remove and re-wrap it in the presence of both garcia and the boxing commission.

a lot of conflicting stories about it.

i also heard of a news report that said that Ephedra, a banned stimulant which is a PED was found in margo's locker room before the fight. his team was supposed to spike the water margo drinks during the fight with it. they said that they didn't use it but we'll really never know if they actually did.

Thanks a lot mate, if true, that's helpful :good

I know, it's Margarito that likes POP, but the fighter in question here is Pac-man.

  15. With all the hoopla surrounding cheating/wraps, it would be incredibly stupid of Pac to try and pull something like that. So no.
