this dude ( karim ) seems to have an awkward-slick style for Pacquiao because he succeeds to land very well those right overhands ....... or just Pacquiao has "slowed down on purpose" in that sparring ....... what do you think ?
if Pacquiao wasn't able "for real" to handle well in that sparring , imagine how it will be a fight against fighters like Floyd or Broner !:hey

Probably pac-fans will say here that it was a sparring session and bla, bla, bla or that maybe pac wasn't in his best "sparring mood" ......... but come on , that dude gave pac some problems :yep

    LOL @ RJJFan. . .

Sparring is sparring. . . Most of the time, or pretty much all the time, each fighter is told to do one or two things, and work on them when sparring in preparation for a fight. . . So it's like a boxer not even "boxing", but just trying to do a few things. . .

When was this session? This guy's good, I like him as a sparring partner for Pac. He constantly turns Manny, getting his foot on the outside and controlling the center, but he also jumps in with combinations and roughs up Manny on the inside. They should keep this guy for Bradley.

You can't really look too much into sparring. Angelo Dundee used to say Ali scared him because he did nothing great in sparring, but when the main event came, then ali turned it on.

You don't win bouts in sparring.

The video was posted back in January. I'm guessing this was for the Mosley fight? Because I remember reading a story about Karim purposefully headbutting Manny in sessions, and apparently was asked to leave. Karim denied this was the case.

But yeah, he looks like the perfect partner to use for Bradley. He's giving Pac movement, throwing looping rights, has aggressive bursts on the inside, and even headbutts a bit.

A shame he's not been called back.

, outclassing his sparring partners but here on this sparring he had some problems.

I guess Pacquiao has problems with slick-counter punchers , this is my thought ! Floyd or even Broner would give Pacquiao some real nightmares into a fight. Thats why I think Bradley has good chances to beat Pacquiao due his style. I hope it won't be a "fixed" fight ! :yep

That right overhand hit Pacquiao's chin easy. Imagine what Floyd's lead right hand would do all night long ?!! :hey

The right hand was landing but Mayfield looks a good deal bigger than Manny.

Pacquiao clearly trying to work on a few things plus is obviously not showing the same relentlessness that he would in a fight. This is a simple exercise for him where the other guy, well its his big chance to impress. The Spadafora video is a good example of sparring not being a good indicator as I think we all agree floyd would beat Spadafora handily although Spadafora was a belt holder and no joke anyway so did have a legit right to be competitive. Apparently Greg Page used to give Tyson fits in sparring but he was a huge waste of talent anyway.

    " ........ agreed.

You cant compare these sparrings between them . Floyd has sparred with a legit champ ( Spadafora) a long time ago and it was a competitive sparring/fight and Pacquiao sparred one year ago with an unknown boxer and he had problems.:yep

It's obvious that Pacquiao would have real problems with slick-awkward counter punchers.

I see him reach to land his punches and I also see that Pac struggles when he is circled. Yeah he gives Pac problems because he has skills and is not a flat footed fighter.
