You bet,

    I've always viewed Fury's rise in terms of a prophecy, and I realized that he and his father saw it that way themselves. So I always thought there was an element of design to his hiatus, even if only existing in his subconscious – that he was wanting to create a story, a narrative by which to define the next chapter in his career. He's not interested in a linear career path, the Wladimir Klitschko route, win a title and defend it ad infinitum, that much has always been obvious. He wants the legendary nights, the Zaires, the Manilas.

    With that said, there was a point during his hiatus (mid-2017?) where I did start to get genuinely concerned about him. As soon as he started dropping weight, though, and announced Seferi, I knew the next wondrous miracle was already written.

    And Bono Vox came back with his finest interpretation yet;

    Tyson Fury is a gift to boxing fans and is now carrying this great sport on his shoulders in the tradition of the most legendary heavyweight champions of the 20th century.

    Absolutely

    Although i never saw it panning out the way it has
    I really saw him taking 4 or 5 tune ups inc Charr to hold some strap and then trying for a big fight

    Its worked out far better

    Nope! Once the Vlad rematch fell through, I thought he would never be seen in the ring again. I missed the mark on that one.

    Yes, because even Ruiz won a title. It's really wide open in HW.

    Nope. When I seen the size of him and how depressed we were hearing he was, I never imagined he'd comeback so hungry an determined..If im honest, the style he had under Ben Davidson to me was horrible viewing, even before that he showed it, but the front foot iq style he showed in the return was sit up and watch stuff !!! He has the mentality tools and size to be matched up against anyone ever

    Nope I thought he was done, especially considering he was fighting over in the US on a deck that was stacked against him. But then again I'm a the glass was always empty type of guy lol.

    That being said, I was amazed at how impressive an out of shape 350 pound Fury looked hitting the pads. His agility, athleticism, skills and head movement even at that weight put the rest of the division to shame.

    Tyson Fury's voice changed in 2016, when it became much "huskier". At one point, it sounded like he could barely talk. He put it down to being punched in the throat in sparring. Who knows if that is true? Regardless, his singing voice has benefited. I have to admit that I miss his genuine and abnormally high pitched voice for such a big guy. It made him even funnier.

    I have followed Tyson Fury from his first bout on ITV4. I enjoyed the Channel 5 days the most. There was something about the lighting in the arena and the way he fought, with that brawler style that was a real throw back. As he progressed, he developed into an incredible all rounder (though people still dismissed his power).

    When he came back, I really didn't know what to expect. I 100% believed he would be competitive, but I didn't know how much lasting damage the drugs, alcohol and medication would have had on him long term. For me, it has been the greatest story in sport since Lance Armstrong came back to win the Tour de France in 1999 (90% of the field would have been doping, so save it).

    I'm still disappointed that he was not deservedly awarded the first Deontay Wilder bout in December 2018, but the manner in which he won the rematch certainly made it all the sweeter.

    Tyson Fury, for me, encapsulates what being a legendary sportsman is all about; Talent, charisma and something pure from within.

    As a fan, I will enjoy it while it lasts, as time really does pass so quickly.

    I'd bet the whole field was doping, not one I would say was clean, if there were a 100 competing i'd expect a 100 to be doping in that game
    This. When hes finished hes gonna be a national treasure

    Updated from its original version. Great amateur documentary.

    Same story here, the C5 days were great fun. And it really got people talking about him, his fights were being viewed by millions on the station.

    It had to be, just a part of the script, to set up the spectacular flipping of the roles in the rematch (Fury becoming the aggressor), the drama of the delayed deliverance.

    Written the morning before Fury-Wilder II;

    "The screwjob in Los Angeles was written, was meant to be, just a dramatic twist in a Biblical story, a bump in the road on the way to the fulfilment of Act II of this glorious prophecy.

    I’m leaning toward a stoppage, but my outright pick is categorical – 2FAST TYSON FURY will have an answer to any moment of success Wilder can create for himself, and he will seize the victory he deserved from the last bout. The only thing I’m really wondering about is which song he’s going to sing after he’s dealt with the dosser.

    Tyson Luke Fury was born and named for this very night.

    He will deliver more than a victory.

    He will deliver us.

    He will deliver himself.

    And he will find what he’s looking for.

    The road home."

    One of my old favorite nicknames for Tyson was "Half an Ali and Half a Bowe". First fight, he showed us the showboating dancer, his interpretation of the Louisville Lip. Return bout, he showed us the infighting teeth, the Gypsy iteration of Big Daddy.

    Amen, quality post.
