No Amir Khan channel 5 UK TV free to view Memory only remembers Khan Vs Maidana in 2010... Pretty sure I might have watched him in the olympics of 2004.. I would have only been 10 then though 0.o If it wasn't for stumbling across an exciting Amir Khan fight (which I can't remember) I never would have been guided to watch the amazing sport of boxing.
Prime Mike Tyson wrecking havoc, pretty much. What made me a hardcore fan was Shane Mosley vs Oscar De La Hoya 1.
Yes, some of my earliest boxing memories were trying to stay up for the lewis fights around the turn of the millennium
yes my dad made me a fan, my first memory of it being a special thing was 1996 when tyson fought bruno the 2nd time . i watched all the big fights with my dad all the way up to his passing in 2006 . we use to always argue who would win if dela hoya and mayweather fought . Good times and memories in this sport because of him .
Yes, dela hoya vs chavez was my first recollection. He made me watch tito and roy jones fights and i thank him for that
Yup, my dad and I would go to the local gym and see the local greats. Remember a later Ali fight vaguely maybe v shaver
yup my first memories of a boxing fight with my father and uncle was Chavez vs Mayweather II.. i was 5 yrs old and remember that fight clearly because i was in awe as to how dark mayweather was haha
I got into boxing through my Godfather when I was 11. He was very ill from the ******* cancer and on the way out but being young at the time I didn't really notice too much as he put on a brave act. He had a few old fight videos and I have clear memories of him showing me Randy Turpin take the Middleweight championship from Sugar Ray Robinson and also the Marvin Hagler Tommy Hearns war. It was a great day and one I'll always treasure as it was the last time I saw him before he passed. Since then I've had boxing in my heart and I'm reminded of him everytime I hear the Jack Dempsey (his favourite fighter) quote "A champion is someone who gets up when he can't".
