I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I don't visit the General too often. Anyway, after JMM's brutal KO, did your opinion change on what he accomplished during his ascent to stardom? Did he drop a few slots on your ATG list? Do you think less of some of his big wins?

Marquez's KO didn't change my opinion of what he accomplished during his ascent. He had many good wins that are too often discredited...his win over Cotto is a prime example. Where I ranked him on the ATG list (25-30) did change after the KO. I now think he ranks 30-35. His lackluster performances leading up to IV contributed to his drop on my list...the KO was just the icing on the cake, so to speak.

The main reason why I dropped him is his inability to adjust to opponents, as shown against Mosley, Bradley, and most notably, JMM in the fourth fight, where he got put to sleep by a shot that shouldn't have landed that cleanly.

So. Did your opinion on him change in anyway, whether it be where you rank him on your ATG list, or how your view some of his past wins, or both?

If you can't appreciate Pacquiao's skills then your not a real boxing fan.

Nothing changed here. He had Marquez, a proven vicious counter puncher who can still fight when hurt, seriously troubled and got overexcited about it only to feel the wrath of that counter.

Stayed the same since JMM clearly beat him in third fight it wasnt surprise that JMM won but how he won was!
Pac is great fighter but in JMM he found his match and for me JMM absolutely won their rivalry, but that doesnt change the fact Pac is ATG.

This. I can't ****ing stand Hopkins, but his talent, while not highly entertaining, is remarkable.

It showed he lacks the ability to adjust. I mean, he got caught with the same damn punch in the 4th round, 10 seconds after dropping Marquez, because he got overexcited. He is lucky JMM didn't get maximum torque on that one, or he would have went down.

He's a good fighter and I watch his fights, but I dislike Pacquiao outside the ring.

How could it not change your opinion? He got knocked out cold in a fight where he was a heavy favorite. Coming into the fight, many saw him as the top fighter in the sport. It's pretty clear after that fight that he's on the slide and certainly not the best fighter in the sport.

Pacman had be en on the slide for some time. Why wouldn't lying face down ass up until someone rolled his lifeless body over change my opinion of him? Marquez exposed Pac for what he is (one dimensional) in the 3rd fight. When he lost to Bradley he lost whatever right he had to be called the best in the World. His performance against Bradley was poor and you could tell post fight that he was gutted. If he can't get a fifth fight he may as well retire as he will take another devastating loss at the hands of someone else.
