Did Zab Judah expose Garcia's weak chin?

    He has a great chin, but it can be cracked if he's hit with enough flush shots.

    i really doubted garcia's chin when it came to this fight, but he proved that he could take 10 ko'able shots that would ko a middle weight.

    Hell no. If anything my view of his chin has greatly improved, and I never suspected any problems with it to begin with.

    I thought the exact opposite. Showed me Garcia can take a punch. But it's not something we didn't already know. Khan is no light hitter. Neither is Kendal holt. Morales may not hit as hard at 140 as he did in the lower weights but still respectable. And Judah has solid power as well.

    I agree, it showed that Garcia has a good chin at least. I do think that Zab is slightly over rated as a puncher though. Who has Zab knocked out? I also disagree about Khan, he's a pitiful puncher with everything apart from the left to the body (because of his off-balance, forward leaning stance).

    We disagree, fair enough.

    But watch the last 5 seconds of round 2
    Watch 40 seconds to go in the 3rd
    Watch 12 seconds to go in the 3rd
    Watch 2:40 mark(ish) of the 5th

    Id find it hard to see how someone could say those weren't

    * Flush
    * True Zab power punches (Zab sitting down on them)


    Those are the type of flush shots that changes fights for Zab, and gets opponents stunned or at least hesitant to walk him down as much. A few of those shots would have buckled quite a few 140lbers outside of Garcia and Matthysse. And would have at least started some momentum going in Judahs favor.

    Garcia ate most of them without blinking (cept the 1st one) and usually came back with even better shots of his own, much like he did against another huge puncher that landed flush on him, Holt.


    Zab landed some big big shots from 2nd to the 5th... they simply had little to no effect on Danny.

    He should have thrown more, I feel him hurting Danny was a case of you hitting something enough it will crack, Dannys D becoming sloppier, and of course fatigue will make anyone vulnerable. But for anyone to try and use this fight as some sort of indicator that Danny doesn't have a good chin is simply ludacris, imo.

    Zab, imo (I stress, imo) def landed and landed hard with full power shots in rounds 2, 3, and 5.


    But I know what youre saying about Dannys D getting sloppier and he def started getting hit more down the stretch, a big part though due to Zab actually opening up. Zab was way too conservative early on, as usual. (imo)

    anyways, what a damn fight.

    Both fighters impressed the hell out of me and gave everyone a badass fight.

    Nothing which happened in the fight hurts Garcia's career. He came to fight and got hit and still won. Nothing to be ashamed of.

    Garcia showed he has a solid chin.. it's one of his best assets..

    Towards the later rounds with Garcia throwing some lazy right hands and bieng abit weaker Judah landed his only big punch his straight left hand leaving Garcia wary and abit dazed. Other than that he was good.
