For high drama and a shocking conclusion? Granted, Castillo and Corrales were better fighters than Zepeda and Baranchyk, but the Baranchyk was an extra brutal KO.

Nah it was fun and crazy but the skill level was certainly higher in Castillo-Corrales. Also the unbelievable comeback so late in the fight.

    HELLLLLL NO!!

How dare you even ask such a dim question.

We're talking about an all time great war fought at a high skill level between two great offensive technicians. It was a lightweight unification fight, no less.

This was a club fight brawl between two fringe contenders - and one of them (Baranchyk) has zero skill.

    Ridiculous question.

It was very very good - both men were ranked (seven and nine) so it was a legit match between world-ranked guys; but it just wasn't quite as good as the Corrales fight.

Still, what's the difference? You saw a fight that was right up there.

Also Castillo-Corrales was a long war of attrition where this was a shootout, more comparable to a Vazquez-Marquez match (though not on that level)

I see them on two different tiers.

A closer comparison would be to Gonzalez-Letterlough.

Letterlough, like Baranchyk, was a big puncher with zero skill.

Corrales-Castillo is a different level entirely.

We're taking one of the top 10 greatest fights in boxing history.

Zepada-Baranchyk was just an exciting brawl. Not "great", just wild and exciting.

    There's a big difference.

    Not quite.

Probably the spiritual successor to Naseem Hamed vs Kevin Kelley, though.

Nah, not enough clean punches landed.

Honestly, I'm about 60 down on the top 100, and I doubt this will make it.

No. It was entertaining and edge of the seat stuff full but it was lower level skill & pedigree wise , apart from the KDs it was just a brawl, Baranchyk fighting dumb winging in big shots whilst anyone could see that zepeda was starting to time & measure him with counters, honestly the Belarusian just fought really stupidly & wasn't learning at all whilst zepeda was clearly thinking his way out.. if KDs make an ATG classic then ye sure call it that but KDs aren't the be all & end all for me.. reminded me a little of Brewer v Echols

Fringe contenders? Both are about top 5 in their division and Baranchyk has been a champ for a reason.
