BACK UP IN A STRAIGHT LINE Especially against a heavy power puncher. You'd think this man had no training at all and has never learned any past lessons. Smh
It's funny because his gameplan was clearly to not engage with Dubious and move laterally and all it took was Dubious's own jab which people underestimated to get AJ going backwards. He should have just held his ground and tried to time Dubious who likes to bounce step...but if he did that Dubious would have chinned him with a jab.
I can't believe how bad Joshua's style looked tonight. Jabbing with the right hand low, going back in a straight line, leaning over his front foot, winging rights. I think his skillset has actually regressed.
No matter how many times they try to relaunch him he's always looked the same. He beat what Wallin, Helenius and Nnganou and they tried to make him out to be the 2nd coming of christ. If you want to watch two elite gifted boxers change up their styles go and watch Fury's entire career and watch Usyk's adaptations to heavyweight boxing.
Those telegraphed, windmilling right hands were ridiculous. Dubois slipped it every time and countered him.
I can't see a way AJ can relaunch to be honest. It would take years and by then he'd already be mid to late 30s. I also don't think Davison is a good trainer.
That shot he was KOd with, he was throwing a slow, lazy l, telegraphed, half arse upper cut. Dubois literally just had to poke a decent right out there and that's all she wrote.. No skills
I think Ben Davison surely takes some reputation losses with this fight. It looked as though Joshua was preparing to fight some other opponent.
