Didn't anyone tell Dirrell that he was hit on the chin?

Threads like this are ridiculous. Because it doesnt meet the requirements that you preconceive, then the guy is faking it.

Shots to the head cause people to react differently. Differently from person to person and differently from instance to instance.

Dirrell might have taken the same punch with the same force from AA, and if he knew it was coming it might not even have buzzed him. He could have taken a lighter punch from a weaker fighter and if it caught him unawares, it could have KO'd him Hatton-style.

I guess its more likely to some people that ....in the ONE SECOND it took for a defenseless Dirrell to get hit by a loaded Arthur Abraham punch.... in that ONE SECOND..... he had the presence of mind(after being cracked in the jaw) to conceive of a plan to DQ AA.

Do you have any idea the limb you have to go out on, and the presumptions you need to make to actually reconcile that with the truth?

"Protect yourself at all times." #1 rule in boxing. Don't get me wrong it was a cheap shot.

This. That's how knockouts and concussions occur, the brain colliding into the walls of the skull

Holding your head is not uncommon if you have been hurt but I do believe he was pretending - Dirrell was clearly winning the fight but Abraham was coming on strong and Dirrell was clearly knocked down in Rd10 - I think Dirrell and his corner were looking for a way out - in fact Dirrell's cornerman was saying Dirrell had been elbowed. Either way AA deserved to be disqualified but Carl Froch for example would of got up and got on with it

I hope The Super Six could just have neutral refs and judges in the remaining fights but so far I do think the right man has won every fight
