dieago chavez IMHO is more skillful then matthyse or maidana

    the guy was out jabbing and acting as a counter puncher he seems to have way better technique then maidana or matthyse. hopefully they bring him back.

    Maidana and particularly Matthysse get under-rated in the skills department: people tend to think they are one dimensional power-punchers. Can't really comment on Chaves though as I havn't seen enough of him

    Maidana is starting to really use the skills he posses now under R.garcia

    He looked more skillful but they both still beat him
    Chavez isnt all that hes got a decent chin though

    Still not that impressed with Thurman. Yeah he beat Chavez but who has Chavez beat? Might have been a step up for Thurman but that's about it.

    Thing is Thurman will hit you hard, Chavez's chin held up but im not sure if other fighters hold up, Maidana's body definitely wouldnt hold up to them body shots

    I pretty much agree with this statement.

    Have to admit though, Thurman surprised me by being smart enough to understand that going toe-2-toe vs Chaves might not be in his best interest and had a plan B to fall back on(successfully).

    Really looking forward to his next fight.
