diego chaves is legit. it's unfortunate that he fought thurman as his first fight in the u.s.

i definitely want to see him again.

that was a brilliant fight.... from a purely technical standpoint, i've watched it a few times....

one of the best fights last year, really made me respect thurman - he showed his ability to adjust....

 

Didn't he get picked apart by thurman and K.O'd? He's probably the worst argie boxer right now but is still decent I guess.

 

argentinians have good fighters. he might have fought thurman too early in my book. he needs to improve his defense a bit

he hurt thurman, dominated the the first few rounds...

thurman made an adjustment, decided to use his legs instead of exchange at close range and started boxing well...

seemed to tire and thurman capitalised.

 

his defence is better than any of his compatriots

he's slick, more like a sergio or lujan....


lujan had a pretty slick style, but chaves is far slicker imo.

 

I liked Chaves too. Very good boxer. He definitely should make a lot of noise in the welterweight division if he can get the fights.

Chaves has not proven to be better than Maidana or Lucas.

 

While i dont share your enthusiasm as him being the best Argentinian i agree hes a pretty damn good fighter. I was very impressed by him and he definitely has a future in the division. He has that shoulder roll defense like floyd and i think he`ll get better as he gets more experience and definitely some one to watch.

 

Chaves is a good fighter and exciting to watch. He would give most at 147 hell.
