I think Corrales might be wide open for a few vicious body shots from Gatti...
Although Corrales height and reach might make the difference if he fought smart...

This would have been one of the greatest fights of all time. The fans win.

Corrales would tear him up with quicker, shorter, straighter shots. He was simply a better fighter.

have mad respect for both, but i agree with most here. i think chico might of taken it and punching power was a step above, but both had the same heart and warrior mentality. chico's combination punching on the inside and his hooks were pretty brutal as was gatti, but i think chico was more consistent with his attacks.

This fight wouldn't even be close, lol at the people talking about a 'great fight'. Chico would absolutely steamroll him for ****'s sake... Manfredy was a better fighter than Gatti, although only slightly so, and he didn't even belong in the same ring with Chico.

Corrales was a clear level above Gatti.

Man i swear these people that think Gatti could beat Corrales are just knuckleheads. Corrales is easily a way better fighter then Gatti. Corrales has beaten Casamayor, Castillo in an awesome fight, Frietas. Gatti best win is freaking Micky Ward lol. Ward is not even close to Castillo level. Did somebody say Gatti have the better chin then Corrales?. Gatti is a warrior no doubt but Corrales is also a warrior but imo a better chin cause he faced bigger punches. Would Gatti take Castillo punches that Corrales took in the first fight? HELL NO!!!!!

Gatti would be way open from Corrales left hooks. Gatti is a warrior but he isn't close to Corrales level. Man whats next prime Gatti vs prime De la hoya at 140 pounds?

Prety fun fight. If Gatti boxes then I think he may give Corrales a few problem in trying to find him, and Gatti might even score a knockdown, but eventually Diego would close the gap and Arturo would begin to exchange. At that point it's Diego's fight and Corrales bombs Gatti out in spectacular fashion.

Corrales by 7th round KO in an entertaining scrap.
