Gatti's movement would still limit Diego's landing a bit seeing as how Corrales can be flat-footed at times. Boxers have always given him trouble. If Gatti can get off at any point it would be early on in the fight while he's on the move.

Not really, Gatti doesn't have the movement that Frietas and Casamayor brings and Corrales beat both of those fighters. Gatti when he trys to box mostly leave himself open cause he got the habit of leaving his left hand way too low. Corrales height, reach and better faster hands would easily beat Gatti by tko.

I agree with the outcome, ie: Corrales KO

But your logic is slightly flawed; Chico lost twice to Casamayor, and the other fight was a disputed SD; physically Gatti is alot more imposing than the Cuban, but admitedly he doesn't have his ringcraft; Freitas doesn't have the heart and/or stamina of Gatti, and his movement around the ring wasn't brilliant (he was a reformed slugger, who just added a bit of boxing to his game), but he was ahead of Chico for the first half of that fight. And also, Chico was never one who used his height and reach to the maximum effect; he always loved to get on the inside.

A Corrales win, but no walkover. He takes Gatti late on IMO after a tough fight.

    Didn't say he wouldn't.

    Styles make fights; that's a different match-up.

And how did Corrales fair against Freitas before the knockdowns? He was getting his ears boxed off... same thing with that 1st fight with Casamayor. Gatti has at least enough movement to trouble Corrales early on. I've seen lesser fighters than Gatti trouble Diego with lateral movement early on in fights, so Arturo should have no problem keeping it up for a few rounds until he starts get caught later on in the fight and begins to exchange with Corrales.

Prime Corrales beats Gatti by KO. Gatti would get stopped like Angel Manfredy, but would last a little longer.

Corrales is just on a different level from Gatti.

Why? Manfredy handled Gatti just fine. If anything, he gets stopped a little quicker.

I'd have to say Corrales....but man....either one of those two could pull off a comeback win at any moment...two true warriors...they dont make em like that anymore

Gatti might have some success boxing and moving from Corrales, but I see Gatti abandoning this gameplan after Chico tags him with some good shots.

And I don't think it'd be well into the fight when this happens, it probably happens relatively early. Then Corrales takes over with his shorter, quicker, straighter shots.

    Because styles make fights.

    Taylor > Hopkins

You know, brother, you could be right. Chico could very well take Gatti our earlier than he did Manfredy. I'm only basing Gatti lasting longer on a gut feeling.

Then let us spell it out for you simply, so you will stop being annoying: Corrales crushes Gatti, boxing or slugging, in a hurry, and it's not even slightly competitive in any way, shape or form. ok?
