It was asked in another thread...

...what would have happened if Diego Corrales hadn't spit his gumshield out twice in the 10th against Castillo when he was almost out of there?

    Please discuss....

I think there's little doubt that JLC would have stopped Corrales had he not taken out his mouthpiece twice, especially with the second one. Not only did he take a full nine count, the ref took the extra time to deduct a point and explain to Corrales why he was getting the point deducted, then Goossen was hardly swift in putting the mouthpiece in.

On the other hand, JLC got Corrales back with the weight issues in fight two.

Castillo would have stoped him no doubt about it. Still pisses me off to date.

At least Temible got his revenge on the rematch.

he was deducted 2 points for it. Castillo was suppose to dispose him no matter what but chico was carrying the biggest cojones and dealt with adversity, something castillo coudnt handle.

No matter how the ending came and whatever controvercy surrounds this fight, it will still go down in the history books as one of the best fights ever and at the end of the day, I was on the edge of my seat all the way to the end. GREAT FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
