Diego Corrales Vs Brandon Rios @ 135

Spot on. Corrales fought and beat harder punchers with better chins than Rios who also posessed a far higher skill level. Rios obviously has a punchers chance but my Money's on Corrales by KO 9 times out of ten. There's a huge gap in class between these 2 and Diego hits harder, he's much quicker and is proven against the best.

 

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a skilled boxer and enjoy a boxer/puncher matchup as much as the next guy. But give me a war like this and I am a very happy man.

 

I know. I think that brief period he was at lightweight was his healthiest ever. At lightweight Ive never seen Castillo hurt so bad that his eyes rolled in the back of his head.

 

Chico would hit Rios so hard, Bam Bam would become articulate.

 

dude, casa put him on his ass and so did many other with sponge bobs on their fists....

overall, i think chico is a better fighter but styles make fights and imo bam bam takes this one

 

even while hurt ONCE he smiled and came right back...plus, that punch caught rios off guard...with someone like chico who doesn't take a step back, it would've been expected for brandon to get hit, and hard...therefore making it easier to absorb the punches from chico

 

freitas had that fight in the bag, but his heart quit him....something that rios is overflowing with....please bro, try that with some newbs but not me

 

punch for punch though i think bam bam hits harder than castillo....castillo was an intellegent grinder with a hell of a chin....bam bams just a grinder....

plus, dont forget about the rematch.....:good

even in their first fight castillo should've won it :good

 

You're REALLY underrating how good a counterpuncher Chico was, and how FAST, short and devestating his shots were.

Corrales had slow ass feet, which is why he couldn't handle movement.

But his hands were quick as Hell.

i know what chico brings to the table...but understand that IMO this wouldn't be about skill...just how acosta vs bam bam wasn't about skill....it's about chin with these two...both can crack, both have hear the size of bradleys head, but only one has a solid chin....simple as that

plus, we're comparing the two now, when one is gone and the other who hasn't even physically matured.....dont forget that at lightweight chico wasn't the puncher he was at 130

 

Tell that to Castillo and Frietas.

 

Would have been the classic fight to enjoy having a scotch and a cigar with a bunch of friends- like i did with corrales vs castillo I...Rios would put corrales on his ass a couple times but late in the fight corrales would make mayor damage with the accumulation of punches...corrales hook was a monster punch.
