Morales clear UD. Boxing skills + chin will nullify everything Corrales has to offer. Castillo has an iron chin but he stood and traded with Corrales. No one will KO Morales with 1 punch, not a near enough prime one anyways.

Morales wasnt at his best at 130 and if a one armed chavez can give him hell, Id imagine that Chico would knock him out.

    Chico TKO Morales

Chico would of stopped Morales if he forced him into a brawl. But other than that I think Morales could of got a UD possibly TKO. But Morales never turned down a war.

Corrales by Kayo, Morales simply gets hit too much and with a guy like Chico who can crack I dont see Erik lasting very long in this fight.

I understand your points, and your pick isn't crazy. However, there are fighters who just don't get stopped in their prime, and I would add Morales to that list. I think it would be a war for as long as it lasted, but I see Corrales getting tagged to death down the stretch. His corner either stops it, or he loses a UD. Good scrap, I just don't think Corrales can outwork or outpoint Morales. If he can't do that, he has to knock him out, and I don't favour any fighter in history, 130 and below, to stop a prime Morales. Not Gomez, not Sanchez, not Corrales.

^ Wrong, Morales wasn't at his prime at 130.

He was still good enough to get the job done against Corrales, who was both flat footed and had little to no footwork. Morales bounces in and out of range, throwing flurries of punches. How will Diego be able to get set in order to throw his wide hooks and straight right? In the event he even lands, which he undoubtedly will at some point in a 12 round fight, a fighter of Morales calibre does not get knocked out with one shot.

It all boils down to whether or not I think he can stop a good version of Morales at 130. I honestly don't.

I think so too, Morales is certainly capable of winning the decision if he is careful and boxes. There were times when he did stay careful as well, such as the 1st Pac fight where all until the last round he was cautious and didnt brawl, which was likely their plan for that fight after they seen the success JMM had at boxing and the power Pac had. He also showed Zaragoza a lot of respect in his title fight and avoided brawling there.

So if he is careful he can win this. If he gets into trading with Corrales, he is probably ****ed. Ive also noticed Morales didnt have the power at 130 that he used to have back at 122... so even though Corrales was known for being dropped, I dont think Morales drops him at 130 unless is in the later rounds after a cautious and paced boxing performance.
