A fantasy matchup between two of my favorite fighters growing up how do you guys (and possibly gals) see it turning out?
Would have been a fantastic fight. Not sure who I would shade. Corrales never showed the type of output Diaz was capable of, likely exasperated by being so tight at the weight. Great match OP.
Prime for Prime it's Corrales... the shopworn version of both? Diaz wears Diego down and maybe stops him on volume. 2 of my favorite fighters as well though.
I'd take Corrales for a late ko in a hell of a fight. Being in Corrales' face all not without stopping power does not sound like a fun day in the ring. I see it similar(ish) to Corrales-Castillo with Diaz having less power and a slightly weaker chin. Would have been a FOTY candidate for sure. Also is Juan retired? I know he had a comeback going and got injured before a title shot, hasn't fought in 2 years.
