El Diamante could still give him some difficulties, but probably not outbox him.

    Round 10

De La Hoya is flitting around the ring, making Ruiz jab at phantoms and overextend with his overhand right. De La Hoya is nudging Ruiz in the chest with his own quick jab burrowing in and then fading out, climbing aboard the carousel again. De La Hoya is using lots of directional changes, totally confounding Ruiz, making him turn either way and never letting him square up. Lead uppercut jumping in by De La Hoya, quickly running the way he came before Ruiz can respond. Nice jab lifted up from the hip by De La Hoya, flush on the mouth, pulling out before Ruiz can even get his own jab halfway there.

    10-9 De La Hoya

    100-90 De La Hoya

For the record, Ruiz is ranked #27 on BoxRec. Not bad.

I can't believe he's only 11-0 so far. So composed.

That final round was very Mayweather-esque, take no risks, job's done!

    Ddlh 100-90

I was tempted to give Ruiz a round, but their check bounced, therefore De La Hoya by shutout victory...!!!
