does anybody think he has a future as a welterweight UFC champion?

or do you think his days are left as gatekeeper?

i personally think that when he is on top form that he is very dangerous and if he gets the right fights he will be back in line for a title shot.

    what say you?

He just dropped the 155. I dont see him ever beating BJ Penn but could see him winning a title if it was vacated and he had to fight Florian or Sherk.

If you got any enjoyement out of the Koscheck fight 2 years ago then you have issues. He is weird but hes a animal go watch his fights with Nick Diaz and Karo Parysian thats quality stuff.

I love watching Diego fight. I still think he can beat Kos if he comes in with a better game plan. I think he will blow Joe Daddy out of the octogan early. He would stop florian again and do a number on sherk as well IMHO. BJ beats him though.

I have a feeling to he beats Joe Daddy badly Diegos striking looked like the **** vs Lugi Fiorvanti and if he gets a takedown on Joe im not sure Joe can handle the GNP and once his guard gets passed Joe gives up his back to easily and will get stopped or RNCed yet agian. Stevenson can beat just about anyone but the elite at 155 and I believe Sanchez will be unless he is weight drained.

Agree, if he's sucked out he might be a different figher. But I just see him rolling through him. Diego is an animal if he gets going, I don't think Joe can handle him standing or on the ground. :deal

I wanna see Diego/Kenny II Kenny's gotten much better since the first fight.

Yeah this isnt the Florian from 05. Hes at his natural weight now,hes working with a good strength and conditoning coach now,his Muay Thai has improved greatly, his wrestling has improved, his GNP is just nasty now plus hes much more experienced now. Sanchez had already had 15 fights while Florian had like 3-4 and now hes fought high quality fighters and even went 5 rounds in a Championship fight. 4 years ago he was basically just a Jiu-Jitsu guy with alot of heart.

that plus Diego's inactivity will hurt him a bit compared to Kenny's.

do you think Diego's injury will hold him up against Joe at all or will that be irrelevant?

he was suppose to fight Alves but was injured and had to pull out. lucky for him to because i think Alves would have beat him up.

I would LOVE to see a Florian-Sanchez rematch.

The Kenny Florian of today would be a much much more difficult opponent. I actually can't see how Diego could win this match. GnP I suppose, but I just don't think he could pull it off.
