Povetkin would fight wilder right now but he cants so instead his trying to get wach(a big tall fight who will prepare him for wilder)

Wilder says he wants a fight to helps prepare for povetkin an is looking for the worst most useless fighter he can find that won't prepare him at all.

That's the difference there, the challenger has ,is and will fight better comp than the supposed champion

Do not forget general IQ, Povetkin's IQ outside the ring will help him not become a homeless man after he retires :deal Cannot say the same about Beyonce Fraudler.

A mandatory challenger has the option to ask for a purse bid to be moved up. If Povetkin has so much interest in fighting Wilder right away, why didn't his team ask to have the purse bid moved up?

Because WBC hasn't even ordered the purse bids. They ordered negotiations for October, so the purse bids would come even later. They are hoping that Haymon will be able to somehow convince the Russians not to go to the purse bids.

Don't pretend that WBC isn't favoring Wilder and giving him as much time as they can.

So you feel that the WBC is purposely favoring Wilder and don't want the Povetkin fight to happen? Also, I believe Povetkin's side can still ask for the negation timetable to be moved up. Personally, I don't see it as a big deal and it doesn't seem like Povetkin's side sees it as a big deal either as I don't believe they've complained or attempted to move up the timetable.

And if they did you can bet they were american or Mexican

I think that you are right that Povetkin's side doesn't see it as much of a big deal. However, they were expecting Povetkin to get a title shot after Molina and they were expecting negotiations to start much earlier than October.

Povetkin himself was initially surprised by the date and said that he doesn't want another fight before Wilder. However, he finally agreed that it's better to stay busy rather than wait until March/April, so he will be fight again in November.

It's still obvious that they are stalling with the Povetkin fight.

According to the WBC rules, Povetkin's side has rights to ask for close to 50/50 split based on Povetkin's recent fight purses being bigger than Wilder's. That would allow Russians to bid even higher at the purse bids. Do you think that WBC would allow that?

Adonis Stevenson is Haitian-Canadian and a purse bid was moved up at his request. Regardless, Povetkin's side has made zero attempt to have the fight take place at an earlier date. The WBC has mandated that the fight take place by early 2016 and both Wilder and Povetkin's camp seem happy with that arrangment. So with that said, I'm confused as to why so many people are criticizing Wilder here. Has someone from Povetkin's side complained about the WBC's timeline?

Why is it obvious that they are stalling? And if they are stalling, why is it a problem if both fighters are ok with the arrangement? If Povetkin wants the fight to take place earlier, then he should say something. I'm genuinely confused here as we have a good matchup that is supposed to happen within the next 4-7 months. Neither fighter seems to have an issue, and yet people are upset.

Wilder is a full-fledged heavyweight while Povetkin is a blown up cruiserweight. Apparently, this is what our resident "boxing expert" Scott Gilfoid thinks.
