difference between quitting because of beat down and potencial perminant blindness

    Nothing wrong with quitting if they are enduring a brutal beatdown. Its their life and brain at stake.

    Quitting after taken a bad beating or after you've sustained a serious injury that could jeopardise your health, your sight, your career or even your life isn't a sign of cowardice it's a sign of intelligence. It's like these meathead MMA fighters who refuse to tap when their arm is about to be snapped in two. Really stupid.

    You can be smart and you can be brave but that does not make you a warrior. To me, a warrior would not think of quitting.

    Boxing fans have some pretty immature and impractical standards for what constitutes a 'warrior'.

    Morales isnt a warrior? Vitali isnt a warrior? James Moore isnt a warrior? Give me a break... these are men who have chosen to fight as a profession, as a life... who have shown what they're made of time and time again. But because they are not part of a select select few that would literally die before they quit, each and every time... they are not warriors? :lol:

    Naive, imo.

    That is pure stupidity I got butted during a fight I could see double two of everything ref just said shake it off, Got back to corner coach said whats up ? told him. He called ref & stopped the fight immediately & reported the ref to the ABA. I think he got fired. Took two days for sight to get back to normal

    Just imagine someone hits you in the ear and you cannot hear anymore. OFC you will quit , you have to be dumb to risk your life like this. Same goes with your vision. I think Brook should retire, it will be for his best.

    Take off your keyboard warrior head & put your sensible head on, I know you have one.
    Brook must have known he had the same injury to his eye socket this time, last time he had no real idea of the possible consequences but this time it had been spelt out to him by the surgeon that he was lucky (last time) not to have lost his sight...now do you think he is a quitter or an intelligent /normal guy who realised his job is not worth intentionally losing his sight for ?
    Would YOU knowingly LOSE your sight in one eye for your job ?
    If you would not do you think you should be critisised for that decision...

    Do you think it would make Brook feel any better when Brook is sat there blind in one eye that people are writing 'on but what a true warrior he is'. Course it ****ing wouldn't. The surgeon told him last time in no uncertain terms he would have gone blind if that fight had gone on any longer. So why would he not think the same this time? He could have quit in the 7th but he didn't. He lives to fight another day if he so chooses.
