Difference in gloves

    seriously guys, I thought boxing fan at least had a little experience in the boxing gym.

    No, It's scientifically/mathematically correct. The calculations are not hard at all.
    Energy divided by time is power. When padding hits, it "gives" and compresses, making the energy transfer last for a longer period of time. This is if the striking area is the same, which it essentially is for these glove types being compared.
    If you get hit by a very hard object like for example a non-padded bat, the blow will make the surface being hit push back, so the energy transfer will be discontinued earlier than if the bat is padded, because of the lack of compression. That's essentially why more padding softens the blow.

    Like I said, I don't know exactly the difference between these particular gloves, but the 25% lower connection time with the Mexican gloves for a medium hard punch from a world class welterweight is probably not too low of an estimation.
