ok so there is a lot of talk of mayweather cherrypicking and ducking guys and some of it is valid and others are not. Lets talk about the man you love to hate. First lets debunk the margarito nonsense, first of all, i think its pretty clear now as he has always said he does not like dealing wth bob arum, and he was offered more money to fight for the lineal undisputed world welterweight championship, so i dont know who would turn that down, well pac would turn down more money to fight someone else as long as their is no fear of being exposed, well i had to take that shot sorry pac fans, and now we all know magarito is a known cheater so does floyd not fighting margarito really look that bad, i think not. Then the infamous fabricated he ducked mosley, when twice he offered shane fights, and i think that is common knowledge now so i dont need to go further with that one, than there was cotto, i dont ever remember cotto ever coming out and saying he wanted to fight mayweather or more importantly arum saying he wanted cotto to fight mayweather, and even more pertanent cotto is just flat overrated and that has been exposed as of late, so this talk of ducking cotto is just nonsense, just when a potential cotto fight was building he beat himself by losing to margo and by the way cotto was never ever their to be ducked because he was never that good, the only fighter he legitimately got around fighting was kostya tzyu and hell il even agree he ducked tzyu but come on after watching tzyu hatton and mayweather hatton do you really think tzyu could have beaten mayweather, so really after reading all that what realy is wrong with what floyd has done in his carreer again

Yeah, you don't get to decide that. I'll make up my own mind, thank you

That was completely unreadable. Please rephrase

Saying because Hatton got beat by mayweather means Tszyu goes the same way because Hatton beat Tszyu is very very naive and shows a distinct lack of knowledge in the History of boxing , styles make fights , and Tszyu would have been mayweathers toughest fight by far , but the fight didnt happen .

Also if you look at cotto he never calls anybody out , but has fought the best of the 147's , it doesnt need a call out to make a fight , again if you knew the sport you would know this.

Your post is all over the place but you do make valid points.

After whooping Gatti, Tzyu wanted no part of him. Shane was fighting at 147.

A fight with Cotto was actually nixed by Arum. Anyone remember Arum saying Cotto was too green. Hatton said he wasn't ready for Mayweather.

So Mayweather moves to 147 but Shane is now at 154. After already agreeing to fight Judah, Judah loses in the meantime to Baldo. But Floyd fights Zab anyway. Then when faced with dealing with Arum to fight Marg he chooses more money to fight the new linear champ in Baldo.

At this point maybe Cotto is new at WW, Marg is getting beat by a new in the spotlight williams. You have guys on the outside like Clottey, Cintron, Quintana, etc. But finally he lands a mega fight with Oscar who he had been chasing for YEARS. No brainer.

It is now that Marg has chosen NOT to rematch Williams, who in turn was beaten by Quintana (anyone remember the talk of Williams being exposed) so his stock was down.

A fight with Cotto meant dealing with Arum who Mayweather had a lawsuit against at the time plus he was still new at WW. So he chooses Hatton who at that time was undefeated, the recognised JWW king, was on the p4p top 10 list, had beaten legit ww (albeit controversially), had a huge fanbase and had just called Floyd out after his latest fight. Personally I'm taking the Haton fight too.

Now Floyd is retired for a year, turning down a big money rematch with Oscar which people on here were absolutely hating the idea. (Anyone remember the boycott talk on ESB boards).

People can say that at times Floyd has choosen the path of last resistance depending on how you rate his opposition but DUCKING talk exposes people for a lack of boxing knowledge or absolute bias.

You know whats funny about that is that I think I remember Floyd holding Kostya with high reguards for the mans gamesmanship back when he was campaigning around 140. I think a young Kostya could possibly beat Mayweather at 140.

    Tszyu could beat Mayweather.

    He should be favoured.

Obviously not the old version that Hatton fought,, but prime Tszyu was a class above teh wonderful Mayweather.

Most fighters have a resume you could either pick apart or make sound miraculous. Sure. But also a significant amount of your post is full of logic that doesn't hold up to critical thought.

You know all this is a distraction.

All we need to say is Pacquiao refused to get his blood tested.

The title of this thread was dig deep into Floyds resume NO ???????

So what the **** is this drivel !!!!!!!! :patsch:patsch

Floyds resume stopped at LW , the guy was looking like a true legend in his LW days , even though Castillo did beat him once , after that forget it , i mean just forget it , there is only son much defending fans can do , yes he had good wins over Judah and Oscar , but the WW division for the last 2 years has held several fighters in the division who would give Floyd a hard night and he just wont fight them .

Look at Pacquiao , ok the Floyd fights off lets get Clottey bang done !!! , Cotto has faced Mosley , Judah , Marg , Pac & Clottey , Mosley has fought everybody from 147 - 154 since 2002 worth fighting , the guys a joke , clearly he does not fancy fighting the top WW's in the world and thats all there is to it !!!!!
