This content is protected Dilian is now undertaking legal action against the WBC for refusing to gift him a title shot. He's avoided one or two eliminators; got flattened against Sasha; refused the AJ fight; covered-up adverse PED findings, and still feels he deserves to avoid fighting for a mandatory spot, like everyone else has to. Has there ever been a more entitled contender in heavyweight boxing than Dilian Whyte?
Dillian is a deluded crybaby who thinks he's better than what he is. As you've correctly pointed out - he's dodged opportunities for mandatory positions & championship opportunities. He's an average, B-level fighter with mediocre skills & a poor chin. His power is the only thing keeping him in the game. U
I understand why people don't like him, but I think he deserves a shot though. Wasn't he mandatory or rank 1 for like 1000 days or something? He was on the verge of getting a shot but was suspended under suspicion drugs but was then cleared? I think he's earned a shot.
I thought he was already mandatory, wasn't it reported he was mandatory for winner of Fury/Wilder or have WBC again changed their stance again. No doubt they'll reinstate him again to stop legal action and once Fury/Wilder is done, they'll say he isn't mandatory again or at the last minute make whoever Ruiz Jr is fighting at the time a final eliminator then claim he's the mandatory. Whyte is like a puppet on a string for the WBC, he just needs to realise he'll never be given a shot. He could change his name to Jesus Martinez, learn Spanish and gain Mexican citizenship and they'll still likely bend over backwards to prevent him ever getting a shot. Hell Arreola gets a 4th shot at the WBC title before Whyte gets a shot.
Prior to him getting melted by Povetkin in the first fight I would have agreed. But if you get melted, even if you avenge that melting, you should not be able to retain a mandatory shot at a title, you forfeited it by getting melted. Back of the line...............
He wasn't exactly getting melted, he was winning the fight clearly, but got caught by a fantastic shot. It wasn't unlucky, but he wasn't getting dominated by Povetkin. He was more dominant over Povetkin than anyone else has been recently.
He was ranked no. 1, offered an eliminator twice and turned it down twice, then blamed the WBC for not making him mandatory. That's called trying to con the public and they successfully conned many. I notice Hearn has a knack for shifting the blame of all collapsed negotiations on his part to being the fault of the other side every damn time.
Maybe if he didn't get sparked out by 42year old Sasha he would of had a chance. Now, this roid head has no chance.
The Fury negotiations were totally Fury's teams fault though. That was understandable. It's infuriating if you people actually think otherwise.
