Gassiev is a cruiserweight champion, a winner. Never been knocked down/out. He is young and became a professional at a very early age. Dillian Whyte is an undisciplined boxer with limited abilities, and is knocked down/out frequently. 6 years older than Gassiev. Gassiev wins by late KO.
FOTY. Whyte will box his ears off in the early rounds and then get dragged into a brawl. I basically expect a more fun version of Whyte vs Rivas. However, I think Gassiev would likely finish what Rivas could not.
Gassiev is considerably younger than Whyte and Usyk etc boxers. I suspect that vs Hrgovic or Gassiev Whyte might end like vs 40 yers 11 months old pre covid legless shadow of Povetkin who was smaller than Gassiev or Hrgovic, sorry. On matchroom cards ofc Whyte will win if he will last till cards. The problem might be that these are not enough old. Whyte maybe just barely, barely is better than Chisora.
Hrgovic is the future and I firmly believe he would beat Whyte. Gassiev which is what this subject is about, I do not feel the same about. He is a huge puncher but aside from a punchers chance I don't see him outboxing Whyte. His best bet is a fading Whyte down the stretch.
PreSurgery/Injury Gassiev would KO Whyte. PostSurgery Gassiev might get KO'd by Whyte. I think Gassiev is done at the highest level.
Most likely but Whyte too is for sure done and in depth done. He isn't more than 5% better than Chisora just with better fights record that's all. And younger.
Depends on how much Gassiev has got left and what weight he comes in at. It's going to take a few fights to determine that and he'll need a few more warm ups against quality opposition to get back to his best if he can.
