Ortiz only notable win his whole career is against Jennings almost 5 years ago (both Rivas and Joyce have beaten Jenning since).

Oriz is a slow inmobile target with poor defence, Whyte will be landing jabs, hooks ls and shots to the body at will.

    Interesting fights. Hm ...

Povetkin outpoints or TKO's Whyte (due to better power, skills)
Ruiz outpoints Whyte (due to better engine, skills and chin (assuming back to Joshua upset obesity))
Wallin outpoints Whyte (due to better engine, speed, reach, skills and chin)

    Here are some others:
Fury outpoints or TKO's Whyte (due to bigger size, better engine, speed, skills, chin)
Joshua outpoints or TKO's Whyte (due to bigger size, better skills, speed, power)
Parker outpoints Whyte (due to not being headbutt KD'd this time)
Usyk outpoints Whyte (due to engine, speed, skills)
Wilder KO's Whyte cold (due to a RH smashing into Whyte's stationary orc head)

    Good winnable fights for Whyte:
    Whyte v Charr
    Whyte v Molina
    Whyte v Lucas Browne 2

    Wishing him a great 2020!

Yeah, imagine someone who lost every round to Artur Spzilka beating Ortiz... (twice lol)

Disagree with several posters here. Whyte has his way with an overrated Ortiz

It’s hard to imagine since I remember Wilder bring up on all cards. What I said earlier is factual.

This like saying “imagine a guy who went 1-1 with morbidly obese Ruiz KTFOing Whyte”, which would be equally ridicuolus. There’s no shame in getting KOd by Joshua, no shame in getting KOd by Wilder.

Regarding Whyte vs Ortiz, I think It’ll be a 50/50 fight at this point. If Whyte wants to make a direct statement to Wilder, he should call out Ortiz instead and let Povetkin settle the score with Hunter.

As for these fights, I see Whyte going 5-0. Or 4-1 at worst.

Ruiz, Ruiz plods forward. He has quick hands and a very good chin but loves to exchange hooks, also for all of this engine talk, he has a very low workrate and given how he fights up close with his hands up, he'll be open to body shots. He'll be walking towards Whyte, fighting at his prefered range and exchanging with Whyte's most lethal punch, Whyte may gas quicker but he also throws more jabs so will be winning more rounds. Both hit hard and are easy to hit, can see both going down. Near 50-50 fight but I got Whyte on PTS.

Povetkin, similar to above but Povetkin ain't fresh enough to apply the pressure needed to win and not get taken out. Whyte KO6.

Wallin, probably looks like the Helainous fight. Ugly, slow hug fest but with Whyte's jab and bullishness winning.

Ortiz, old Ortiz makes mistakes. Whyte capitalises on them, either with counter jabs or catching Luis with a hook. Tbh if Whyte improves his right hand (which he definitely has been) this fight becomes a lot easier, but given how Ortiz is slowing down and his stamina isn't much better than Whyte's own, I see the jab and body shots working Ortiz down before Whyte lands. Whyte KO8 (whilst down on cards).

Charr lol. Whyte KO whenever he wants.

Whyte should probably take another easy fight and wait for the winner of the Hunter-Povetkin rematch. That way he's definitely back to tip top form, mentally. In the gym I'd be looking to improve his right hand (balence, timing, straightening it ect), his head movement and general fitness.

I know, I was saying his point was ridiculous. I agree, although I think Ortiz around 2014 would win.

Let us see first how Whyte performs without the peds. Against Wach he looked terrible, with both men taking the fight on short notice.

Would need special reinforced ring canvas to hold Whyte and Ruiz without collapsing and forming a sinkhole

Whyte beats Ruiz is a close see-saw battle that sees both men take their share of punishment. Whyte's jab and superior ring generalship nabs him the win, but Ruiz causes him a few problems on the inside.

Whyte beats Povetkin in another gruelling back and forth, with the fresher man doing enough to beat the wiley veteran, and possibly making things dirty if Povetkin looks to be gaining the upper hand.

Don't know enough about Wallin to make a prediction.
