Understand but trying to get a feel of the difference.

How much do you think Whyte will earn this weekend and how would that compare to his income if fight was at a packed Wembley Arena on Sky Sports Box Office?

It's reported hes being paid 2 million, with his lack of activity and momentum its the best he can expect to be paid without fighting someone like AJ.

Right now he would be the B-side to any big box office fight - so he would get a flat fee on an AJ / Fury show, depending on the PPV guarantee and how much of the promotion those guys were willing to give out - and there's little else that would get anywhere near it. £2m reportedly from Saudi when there are few other options seems like good work. Always wondered if the Saudis find a way to make it tax free too.

It's not like he can't or wouldn't fight again later for less, he'd probably pack a decent venue against Chisora again.

You know, in his old age and away from Matchroom Whyte is kind of a carefree, hype-free veteran now. He's probably still top 15 easily enough and seems to give respect to people. Maybe it's all an act to get Saudi onboard but he's an easier listen than Joshua.

AJ fight will always be on the table too. Whyte could lose and still potentially get that fight as it’s an easy sell. If Whyte loses to Itauma and Joshua loses to someone this or next year I can see the rematch between Joshua and Whyte being made as neither will have any other meaningful opportunity on the table.

I buy that Whyte is motivated and in-shape for this fight, but that just makes him more likely to get knocked out as he'll go in open and aggressive. the Itauma hype is OTT but he can certainly pick a punch.

Whyte’s time was 2019. He had momentum, some good wins, Sky behind him and a decent amount of goodwill from people who felt he was being done out of a title shot. Unfortunately he couldn’t resist taking steroids for the Rivas fight. From then he lost momentum, got flattened by Povetkin in Hearn’s back garden and was pretty much done from then on. His pathetic effort against Fury both in and out of the ring was the end of the road.

Yeah the only thing worthwhile that Whyte has done in recent years was outside the ring when he made fun of John fury to his face in an interview an intimidated him so much that Fury just smiled awkwardly an kept quiet. Lol

Made Darren Barker absolutely **** his pants earlier this week too when he approached the DAZN pundits just as Barker and Barry Jones were assessing his slim chances.

Whyte is a good character outside of the ring tbf.

Shame he fights like a slow, shot old pub man these days though, but I like watching his interviews:D

Being in good shape for Whyte means he takes Itauma more rounds, and won't be blown out early. It makes it a decent fight.

It doesn't mean anything. Whyte is a static target most of the time. At best, he's a plodding target! He's going to get pratted. If he did win, it would be highly-entertaining, so I am not against that happening, it's just that there's more chance of pigs flying to the moon than that happening.
