He ate that Povetkin uppercut and gave Povetkin time to rest for breaking his hand on his diamond jaw, it's a shame he was counted out for his benevolence, there's no sportsman spirit these days.

Meanwhile Vitali Klitschko quit against Byrd in a fight he was winning, Byrd the featherfisted MW turned HW.

It's clear as day, it's now upon you guys to accept the truth .

Whyte is an uncoordinated Bell end...but Vitali is beyond overhyped for having fought f all opposition.... Stiff idiot who relied on size advantage and chin

He didn't really get hit very much, Vitali. I think he lost something like 8 rounds on the cards in his entire career.

Poor opposition, but had high KO %, never down, lost barely any rounds and his two losses were not really conventional losses. He done just about as well as he could given the era.

I'll have to break my character of a poor troll here, Vitali wasn't stiff at all, stiff is what I call Joshua before the Ruiz fights, he's still a bit stiff but there has been some improvement due to dropping muscle mass.

Vitali's record is poor but I'm not sure how much of it is his fault. Could he have come up sooner? He didn't really start appearing in the "big" bouts until he was in his 30's.

If Vitali were around today aged young enough, I can't see him avoiding the big bouts like Wilder. I don't think he would have a problem stepping in with Joshua, Fury (not cherry picked), Usyk and the rest. Wilder has entangled himself in a sticky situation due to a cherry pick gone wrong. I am not privy enough to know the extent to which he or Joshua avoided each other.

Wilder's best win is Ortiz a guy who lost 3 times to Odlanier Solis in the amateurs and in 2 of those losses Ortiz couldn't even land a single scoring punch. Vitali KO'ed Solis in 1 rd.

Didn't Solis KO himself, practically? Knee? I can't remember that well, but I just have a bad feeling about the last bouts of Vitali's career. Solis must have been one of the last and then the Charr one, both stopped early in an unlucky way for the losers. I remember Vitali being angry at the end of both. He was a funny character. Solis was a reasonable talent, though. But he seemed to come in bad shape in the pro ranks.

Wow he actually failed to land clean in two whole three round bouts? That's impressively bad from Ortiz/good from Solis. Solis was an excellent amateur who evidently declined massively when he turned pro so there is not as much merit in Vitali smashing him like he did as he would have gotten over a truly prime Solis. He got so lazy once he left that vaunted Cuban amateur program.

Oh for God's sake. Luis Ortiz lost to Solis 20 YEARS AGO in the amateurs. (LOL)

Luis Ortiz has been rated in the Ring top 10 for six straight years. He's still rated #6.

Odlanier Solis was ranked by Ring for a couple months before he fought Vitali, and never made it back again. His pro career was a train wreck. He lost to Tony Thompson twice. The second time he quit because he was too fat to go on fighting. (LOL)

Ortiz is arguably the greatest Cuban heavyweight to ever fight as a pro. He's certainly been consistently in the top of the ratings for longer than any of them ever were as pros.

Luis Ortiz's best win is Bryant Jennings. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
