I actually won't, this has been a shock to all of us, and somewhat distressing for me. I just want to move forward, and see Whyte in good fights, and get that WBC title shot, that is all I care about.

It's not about looking smug, I just want to see good fights get made, by hard working athletes.

The WBC are corrupt and have different standards for different fighters. If this was Canelo, they'd play it completely differently.

Yep, WBC will look even more of a farce if Whyte gets exonorated! Even moreso when you compare it to Canelos situation!! Tbh I hope Whyte wins that belt and immediately throws it in the bin!! Lol

Must be something that does improve performances with enough of it. I don't know it is strange

I hope it's true tho, as it makes British Boxing look better and Whyte as well.

They only test for ban substances. The test comes back positive if ig matches.

They are on damage control right now. If this was a non issue they would have come out and said something.

No surprises that the WBC nexted Dyllian off, they are clearly very very afraid that he knocks Wilder out and takes the belt back to London.

Lets see how this develops. The fact Dyllian has allegedly failed a test isnt a big deal to me, these things happen in boxing.

I hope he atleast gets a shot at a world title again

There is no allegedly. This is his 2nd time failing a drug test. His promoter , manager, and himself have not once denied this. The only thing left is disclose what the substance he tested hot for.

My understanding - from listening to the same podcast - is the distinction between 'prohibited' and 'specified' impacted in only one way and was directly linked to the low levels found in the sample. 'Prohibited' would have resulted in an immediate ban disbarring him from fighting Rivas and 'specified' meant any sanctions against Whyte would be deferred until the whole process was complete.

As far as I can tell these two terms do not relate to what was in the system, but how it likely got there based on the amount found in the sample. Either slam dunk intentionally (prohibited) or open to question (specified)....

So we need sources for all other information but with this we accept some guy on a podcast as truth? Seems legit...

    https://www.ukad.org.uk/violations/whats-banned-sport-prohibited-list

This is from the UKAD website on substances:

"Specified substances are those that, if found to be present in an athlete’s bodily sample, may be more likely to have a credible, non-doping explanation."

So maybe that's why they had a hearing and Team Whyte gave a credible explanation and then they cleared him.

That makes sense and fits in with how I interpreted what was said on the podcast: that a substance was detected but not to the level which would also establish doping - to prove doping surely they also have to establish intent to dope. But I don't think they can case-closed clear him based on a hastily-arranged pre-fight meeting. And as Hearn carefully stated 'he was cleared to fight' not cleared....

And hasn't Whyte asked for the B Sample to be tested? Why do that if everything is concluded? I'm not claiming certainty over this by any means, just posing the question. The whole procedure is as clear as mud lol
