Dillian Whyte Reinstated As WBC Interim Champ, Is Mandatory Challenger Again

I can't bring myself to talk about Whyte. He's a ****en bum.

It’s not really though as they will move Wilder to franchise and he will end up fighting someone with a smaller profile for half the money. At this point he may aswel take the AJ fight in 2021

 

The obese and out of shape Whyte that we saw last Saturday probably doesn’t want a fight with Wilder anytime soon. Say what you will about Wilder, but he’s always in tip top condition. Whyte’ll need at least six months to shed the fat and get back into proper form.

 

What bit do you have a problem with?

Whyte was WBC mandatory yrs ago and was disgustingly ignored. No fight made.

AJ then made an offer (Wilders best payday by a mile) and Wilder sent a counter offer. Hearn jumps on a plane to New York to discuss terms and was ignored by Wilders team. No fight made.

Fury takes the rope down from the beam and puts away the razor blades, he decides he wants to live. Gets out the diet pills and goes on an incredible body transformation. Whups Wilder and is ROBBED in front of the world. Wilder should not be the WBC champ. Fact.

All true and factual. The WBC and Wilder/team do not want a brit to have that belt. What else are we supposed to think

 

The double standard is that when Fury dropped the flubber from 350 pounds to come and fight Wilder it was seen as a triumph

but if Whyte does it ... its like “you fat piece of crap” why did you get so fat... youll never trim down again

 

I agreed with Wilder there. This praising of Fury how he 'overcame' being fat and depressed (which he never overcame, he actually was fatter in his 'tune ups' after the Wilder fight) was getting out of hand.

Fury is a professional athlete. The minimum the audience can expect he is in shape all year around. The same standards apply to him as to Whyte.

 

What is the actual rules regards the mandatory spot with the WBC. Can they just let Wilder fight whoever he wants for years on end? Surely Whyte could get some legal case for getting a shot at him?

 

We would know this for sure if Wilder actually fought Whyte. Whyte has been mandatory for 2 years.

 

Just fight him.

WBC Regulations and Rules amended as of November 2015

"In its sole discretion, the WBC shall subsequently determine the timing and terms of any bout between a Champion to determine a sole champion in the division, provided, however, that an Interim Champion shall never be deemed a mandatory challenger, or entitled to greater share of proceed of any purse offer beyond that of a challenger, without a specific prior written order to that effect from the WBC President or his designee.

For the avoidance of doubt, a WBC Interim World Championship shall be considered a true WBC World title for all purposes, other than with respect to a bout versus the actual World Champion, absent any order to the contrary from the WBC in its sole discretion."

So Whyte aint even a mandatory, he is a WBC champion in lieu of Wilder being unavailable to unify. Whyte only becomes an INTERIM guy in the context of a unification bout, where Wilder would be the original or actual Champ defending against the "interim" champ who took his place while Wilder was out sleeping with Ortiz and Fury.

Do you think Whyte's WBC Interim belt adds any incentive? Does AJ get it if he wins?

Then he becomes a WBC champ which Wilder will need to unify against.

As far as the WBC is concerned, the interim champ is by all intended purposes an actual WBC champ.

 

If they make Whyte stay off the Roids then the Blubber will remain!!

We don't dispute what Joshua and Hearn did on their end. We dispute the timing. Joshua was losing respect with his boring wins and avoiding Wilder. When Wilder had no opponent and wanted to face Joshua, Wilder was looked at as a joke with no fans, and only worth 12.5 mil.

Wilder slowly builds his brand and beats Ortiz...and then Fury out of nowhere challenges him and now Wilder is worth 100 mil according to Hearn. You have to forgive true boxing fans, but only you Joshua fans think that Wilder ducked a fight with a man who said he was worth only 12.5 mil. Now a loss later and a revenge rematch, and now we're back to square 1 with you Joshua fanatics again.
