Tried to hide him away from US Television after DAZN rejected the fight.
This always irked me. Whyte-Parker and Whyte-Chisora both didn’t have a US Television Home, the latter was only concluded two weeks before the fight.

Whyte said Hearn put DAZN on the official Whyte-Chisora Poster eventhough a deal wasn’t agreed and Whyte is not signed to DAZN as a way to shield him away from other networks.

So Hearn was basically taking away revenue from Whyte’s Pay. International TV Rights Revenue is a good boost to fighter’s pay packet, and Hearn nearly took away thousands of pounds from Whyte’s Pay...

It’s a fair point, eventhough Showtime got the Whyte-Chisora fight. How were they meant to know it was available ? The official poster had DAZN on it. Fraudsters is what the Hearn’s are

I'm just pleased there is a thread dedicated to Hearn and generally talking about promoters and TV companies and finance.

Hearn’s a good businessman, a slippery and dodgy one, but still a slick one. It shouldn’t be a crime for any young man up and coming to learn from the Pro’s.

I’m talking about both Eddie and Crackhead Barry

Hearn is a sneaky slimy man whose sole interest is making money. It doesn’t surprise me that he manipulated Whyte like this. Hearn is a private school educated toff, he probably looks at Dillian and thinks he can take him for a ride.

If Eddie Hearn's sole interest is making money, why would he not want to sell the TV rights to somebody else if DAZN wasn't taking them? If he's taking money away from Whyte's purse as the OP says, then he's taking money off his own cut as well then. It doesn't really add up.

    I think it’s a load of bollocks.

Watch eddies 15 minute IFL video were the Joshua Miller fight has just been announced. Eddie all but says Dillian has spoken to everyone but decided matchroom is where his future is.

If someone ****s you over why do you then sign with them? So it’s either bollocks or Whyte is an idiot.

Always good to see a fighter become more educated about the business side of things.

That said, for a guarantee of 6-7mil and 50/50 in the rematch I would have snapped his hand off

It's a crazily good deal. At risk of being a bore, this has got out of hand now. For a share of a Euromillions sized purse, a domestic 'ppv boxer' (debatable and only just), is being offered a shot at the unified heavyweight championship - all the marbles - with a 7 digit payday rematch clause (a rematch clause being bog standard).......

Champions should not have to work so hard to entice people to want to fight the championship. I would understand if the offer were 500k, or 1m, or even 3m given the current crazy climate. But Whyte has already lost to Joshua once.

Go steady now with the rational, balanced and fact based posts on here. You need to reply with a far more emotive and agenda based post or you get threatened with being put on ignore. And yes I totally agree. The likes of Fury, Whyte and especially Gobshite Wilder are forgetting what it is they're getting the opportunity to fight for.

No way anybody pays Whyte what he gets from matchroom. They have done an unbelievable job with him. Bet he never realised in a million years just how big his victory im the amateurs would turn out to be for him.

Not just that, but Whyte has has a really tough upbringing. You'd thick he'd see the bigger picture and take all those millions.

When Whyte fought Joshua in the pros he was pretty much hated by the media and public. Fast forward that now and matchroom have made him a PPV (arguably) boxer who earns millions a fight. It would be stupid to leave matchroom, they’ve done an amazing job!

Dillian Whyte knows this only too well, it's just that Hearn, with his forward planning and pre booking Wembley backed himself into a corner, especially after the relative success of Wilder/Fury and pending rematch announcement.

Unfortunately for Whyte, he overplayed his hand a little and now has to wait a while longer. He should beat Breazeale, by which time Wilder and Fury will produce a definitive result and AJ will be looking to knock off another mandatory, which would likely be Pulev, Usyk or Whyte.

Whyte is playing the long game and doing it quite intelligently, he just needs to make sure he doesn't bite the hand that feeds him in the process.
