Whyte is really out of options in the UK/Matchroom. And with Joshua, Miller, Hunter, Usyk, Allen, Chisora, Price, Gassiev etc.. on the books, not to mention Povetkin, Takam, Browne and Parker, why not leave and fight in the US? Smart move from Whyte. He cant get the fights he wants for the money he wants, time to move on. Fighting out of the US under Top Rank will make fights with Fury and Wilder, who he wants to fight, much much easier. The WBC will probably stop black balling him too if he moves to the US.
Wilder won't have the belt by then . And Fury probably out boxes Whyte ....In the end that WBC belt is ending up with Joshua one way or other and Whyte still has a mando position coming up with Joshua so not sure what deal is actually better for Whyte , if he loses his O2 PPV's ? How does that work under ESPN ?
Since Joshua, Fury and Whyte are going to America, Frank Warren needs to push Dubois onto the limelight now since the lack of competition for the UK market could help build him into a household name.
Whyte is a Nobody in the US. First he has to built up his profile there so i doubt he gets the fights he wants and the money he wants.
He must be paid a lot to off set the sky money he's going to lose. I think both he and fury have made a mistake not signing with Hearn. American promoters British fighters never turns out well, always starts out with dreams of conquering America, always ends In regret. Realistically British fighters will never cross over in the states, there's always a misconception about how much more money there is in America, absent the odd superfight there's more money for British fighters in the uk. This entire post is utter rubbish.
Damn, I called it a while back that TR was looking to get into the HW business. I am surprised they managed to snatch up Fury and Whyte so quickly. So TR has: Fury Whyte Parker Pulev Jennings Rivas(?) Guido Vianello Sonny Conto And Trey Lippe last appeared on a TR card, be interesting to see where he goes from there. Quite the stable they have built in a relatively short time frame.
I think deep down the reason Whyte did not take AJ rematch is because he is not convinced he will win. Another devastating knockout defeat will finish off million pound pay days for him.
Well, Bob almost has his four - Fury, Parker, Whyte, Pulev. He can milk that for years - like he did with Manny, Bradley, Marquez and Brandon Rios, matching every combination of them against each other repeatedly. ESPN will likely be showcasing Fury-Pulev, Fury-Parker, Whyte-Pulev, Whyte-Parker II, Pulev-Parker, Fury-Whyte and on and on and on until Bob dies. And the biggest fights won't happen. Thanks Bob.
