See in the Mail that Hearn has been trying to take out court injunctions so probably something to do with that at a vague guess

It’s on the BBC now anyway, article by their sports editor which shows they haven’t just taken a chance on it. Unlike most other places the BBC has to double source a story before going live with it.

Im sorry but i just couldn't disagree more with your idea. What about the small hall promoters? How on earth would they afford to pay for drug testing? Im sorry but a promoter should only be accountable if he knowingly puts on shows where a fighter has failed a test, like this instance.

Teh finance argument is very weak and not really comparable. A footballer failing a test is more comparable. Does the manager get into trouble there?

They should be refunding everyone who paid for the fight.

The BBC have a loose arrangement with Matchroom over radio rights/documentaries.

The longer there is silence from the Sky end the more likely this story is to be true.

I have a feeling that if Whyte is given a long ban we'll see him in the UFC.

then you would apply it to risk levels much like you would in other walks of employment. Only those people who will be exposed to higher risk roles get tested in other lines of work the same can be applied to this Championship fights etc. there needs to be at least one way of tracking them. They dont necessarily have to be tested at lower level but their bloods kept on record so they can be tested at a later date, perhaps once the fighter has progressed.

Doing cycles and masking them paying of people, injuctions etc dont come cheap therefore the risk levels at the lower end of the spectrum are far lower and less likely to be taking place.

Are you expecting me to draw up a flawless plan to put this into motion or something?

In the grand scheme of things its not the lower end of the spectrum we are talking about here its the higher echelons. And in those circles it is very much affordable.

The sports name isnt being tarnished by the actions of lower level fighters who are less likely to be on gear its the higher levels

I'd love to be able to listen in on Eddie's, Dillian's and the legal team's conversation right now. The pair of them must be panicking like little girls.

BBC have changed title from it being an allegation to Whyte failing the test. I wonder who their confirmation came from.

It's not the promoters fault though. The buck stops with the person who does the doping. You can't expect a promoters to keep tabs on all his fighters and test them, that's madness. Even if they did what stops them from doing what they do now and beating tests even when they cheat?
