I believe that before the Rivas fight the investigation had reached this stage:

"Where the Notice of Charge is based on an Adverse Analytical Finding, the athlete has the right to request analysis of the B-Sample.

If the B-Sample does not confirm the result of the A-Sample then the entire test is considered as negative and the Notice of Charge withdrawn. No further action will be taken against the athlete.

If the B-Sample analysis confirms the Adverse Analytical Finding in respect of the A-Sample, then the athlete can either accept the finding and consequences specified in the Notice of Charge or request that the matter proceed to a hearing."

So we are now waiting for the B sample result (due sometime next week) where Whyte's legal team will action the last sentence.

Not sure on the B sample. That Hearn interview yesterday said it was either request a B sample or face the panel.

They requested the B sample to buy them time. If the B sample is clear then no further action will be taken. If it confirms the findings in the A sample then a provisional suspension will be applied and Whyte will be called to a hearing.

Yeah from what's been said it seems they've managed to circumvent the B sample test and went straight for the hearing.

So seemingly there will be no more info released on the actual failed test at this point.

But he's had the hearing already and was cleared to fight?

I think that second bold has nailed it. That’s why Hearn and Whyte think they’re in the clear.

From what I can work out from UKAD procedure if they have requested the B sample as reported then there only hope is that it returns clear. Otherwise they will be facing a provisional suspension and a hearing in which his legal team can offer up all the usual excuses (spiked drink, nasal spray, wild boar meat etc).

    https://www.ukad.org.uk/violations/results-management

There is one other possible out but it's looking unlikely:

"there has been a departure from the International Standard for Testing and Investigations or International Standard for Laboratories that may have caused the Atypical Finding"

As Hearn said we are only going on a boxing scene article and a few other reports but the wall of silence is very suspicious so i'm not ruling out an outcome totally different to what has already been reported in the press.

    https://talksport.com/sport/boxing/578175/boxing-news-dillian-whyte-banned-substance/

"However, the fighter asked for his B sample to be tested, as is his right.

UKAD do not sanction boxers for PED breaches until the full adjudication process is complete, including B sample testing, and subsequent hearings by the NADP – National Anti-Doping Panel.

This meant that the BBBofC had little option but to allow him to fight."

As I said before my analysis is only based on what has been reported in the press.

    They said he would lose,
    They said he couldn't win,
Ten wins in a row, now they saying it's a sin,

    Overlooked since day,
The day he lost to AJ,
    Now he's making paydays,
    And Haters wanna downplay,

    Beat Parker,
    They still say foul play,
    Beat Rivas,
And it's like he parked on your driveway,
    Got a title shot,
    Much to their dismay,
    WBC Interim Champion,
And he did it his way,

But you keep on saying no,
    How could it be so?
    Popped for Dianabol?
...He'll be stripped by 2 Mo' Row!

    Slow to move?
    Nah he's the most improved,
And he doesn't need PEDs because VADA approves,
Yo Whyte... it's time to prove...
There was never any need for all these Boo's accrued

Can you post a source that he has faced the NADP? If that is the case then he would have already been charged and suspended.

"An athlete / ASP charged with an ADRV has the right to a fair hearing. The hearing process will determine whether an ADRV has been committed and, if so, the appropriate consequences.

Depending on the applicable anti-doping rules, it is likely that the hearing will be held before the NADP.

The NADP is a national tribunal and appellate body for the UK, entirely independent of sporting governing bodies and UKAD."

UKAD’s motto is “Protecting Sport”— should be “Protecting our Arses.”
