* Punches like a truck when referred to the short counter left he hit AJ with. * Is easily a top 10 fighter when discussing AJs rise to the top. * A top world prospect * Highly skilled with amazing KO power This Dillian Whyte guy has it all.... ...or nothing. Yeah I'm picking he has nothing. :deal
I regret hyping him up before the AJ fight, I said he had a chance to win by KO and he almost did, but I never said it was because he was a future ATG with a mythical skillset, its because he's a barbarian and I figured he could catch AJ with something big and take him out, because AJ's defense is horrible and has no chin. Whyte is average in every way and the fact that he almost KO'd AJ is proof of how average AJ really is, not how great Whyte is.
Whyte is a great prospect don't get it twisted, he just had a bum shoulder and had been banned recently so hadn't had the best build up. Hearn picked Whyte @ the opportune moment, if Whyte had another 12 months worth of training and fighting under his belt it might have been different. Lets be honest here losing to AJ isn't really that bad considering the circumstances. AJ is very good himself.
I'm not at all sold on him, 50/50 about whether he'll be a top 20 hw or not. Hopefully he gets some good fights that clear that up. Maybe David Price, or Chisora if Chisora loses to Pulev (and I'm picking Chisora for the upset).
he's the next chisora, good solid test for up and comers and not good enough to really step it up. in the mix for sure though
Whyte is decent..... Though it seems to be the AJ fanboys who are afraid of Parker that overhype him.
Whyte is a solid fighter, he lost to a man who is a huge odds on favourite to win a world title Saturday, no shame in that at all.
Whyte was another set-up for Joshua, just like Martin is. I hope Martin beats Joshua, but this fight is for Joshua to get a title very easily, Martin is a nobody...................
if he didnt injure his shoulder after he rocked joshua he would have won, its like people didnt watch what happened in that exchange
I got the feeling Whyte trained and tried the the hardest he is ever likely to against AJ. He looked OK in that fight but something tells me he is never guna look better than that unless he finds somebody else he really has a grudge with.
Don't get your hate of Whyte, to say he has 'nothing' is ridiculous. He can obviously bang and his chin is fairly good. Took quite a few of Joshua's bombs before wilting. He's hungry and aggressive, plus he's a 'real' guy and not a hyped up clown. He could have a decent gate keeper sort of career.
Nothing, I'd admit is a bit harsh. I just get fed up with his name getting plastered around the forum like he is some top 10 fighter. Hence the sarcastic thread post.
Whyte is a prospect Joshua is a prospect Martin is a prospect neither of them are really proven up till now.
